Alright! We're finally getting some best girl Mikari, here we gooooo.... oh it's the last episode and it's all over. 😩 Okamura is such a baka. Mikari has basically thrown away her modelling career by cosplaying, she breaches her contractual restrictions to do things just for Okamura, she dresses up as a 2D girl to try and get his attention and he still didn't see her. Hopefully he'll follow Mayuri's advice and actually give her a chance instead of spending all his time taking dirty pics of Ririsa. 😉

Overall this was a pretty good adaptation aside from removing all the ecchi, I'll be looking forward to a second season.

When i started, i wasn't expecting much, but i recived much more than what i was hoping. It's insane how people can't tell the difference between this and your average or even popular romcoms/harem, and the last episode was the proof of that. The whole series was a 8/10, but those 3 last episodes were 9/10 in my book. It did more than Makeine did with much more production value. Crazy.

Oh drama! Hearing what Mikari likes about her Senpai leads to Ririsa also confessing albeit as someone who "loves Senpai" as "a Senpai Otaku" rather is "in love with Senpai". Not wanting this knowledge to get in the way of their friendship and bonds as a cosplay group, Mikari promises not to interfere should Ririsa ever date Senpai, too. Unfortunately, that knowledge is already out as Okumura senpai heard everything (was his first crush one of the cosplayers now???). For a shameless Otaku, other people's judgement doesn't get the better of him, but he does not think that others might care about him either until Mayuri sensei explains in terms of the manga characters, Lilel and Ashford. He reflects on why the photo he took of Mikari's swimsuit Miliel was so perfect; she smiling not for the camera but for him.

Ririsa and Senpai are on the same wavelength; there are others who can cosplay Lilel like Xiaoyu, and whether their's is better or worse, Senpai wants to photograph Ririsa's Lilel, and she wants to be Lilel, to occupy the same physical space, not just a canvas that one wouldn't realize the cosplayer underneath was Ririsa.

It's all good when they talk it out, but when she goes for the pose and he goes for the shutter, they are saying everything yet nothing. Turns out she didn't tell the whole truth to Mikari; Ririsa expresses love for Senpai, believing he would see it as 2D Lilel's love for Ashford; but he tries to see this 3D Lilel's love for Ashford as the cosplayer, Ririsa's love for him, capturing it perfectly.

Looks like we ended at just the right point, I hate it when anime ends a season at an awkward point, like you know there’s more going on but you’re just “dropping everything and leaving”

This was a good stopping point for the next season. From what I can make sense of relative to the source material, it looks like we covered the first 7 volumes of the manga.

Not going to lie, I got into this series because the premise had me curious and I decided to give it a chance. For whatever reason anime with romantic comedy elements always default to nerdy/normal guy and popular/pretty girl for their leads; so a rom com where the leads a both otaku had a lot of potential.

I was not expecting this last episode to be as heavy as it was, what a surprise… especially since I didn’t read this part of the manga, lol

Character growth and development plus tackling themes that were definitely heavier than expected for this kind of show was a pleasant surprise and bumped this show from, id say a 7.5 to an 8.5 for me.

There was a lot to like about it this show, especially since it was that rare show that, yes, fanservice is an element, but there is a good story past the fanservice.

I don’t think I’m going to read ahead with the manga to know what comes next, so I’m going to look forward to season 2 and seeing where the story goes next.

One more show wrapped up, and one step closer to winter 2025
