Our deuteragonist has finally appeared.

Having completed her first mission, Belle has earned the respect of even the forces of evil. One day, she meets Adonis Question, a swordsman with a complicated past who is one of the Four Great Swordsmen, yet also known as the Sword Thief. The two are summoned to the castle, where they learn that the merfolk Tiziano, who had gone missing, has fallen to the side of evil and is plotting revenge against justice. Under the orders of King Rawhide, a large-scale expedition consisting of three battalions is formed to defeat Tiziano, with Belle and Adonis among those selected.

This is the thing, this world is actually pretty interesting. I mean, this world is legit just made up of different animals, which could make for many different and unique places like the place where the mermaids live or whatever. That aside, those guards really fucked up by destroying those pops. Though, at least because of it, Belle was able to meet Adonis properly and connect with him a bit. To which, ngl, these two have pretty good chemistry.

Our protagonist and deuteragonist have good chemistry, no doubt. But is their chemistry strong enough to team up and take down their enemies?

Belle being rewarded for her sword in equality of the riches in regard to missions from the Tree God, and for taking down Kir Royale, one of the top 4 Solists, she's going to defeat the evil god of Tiziano.

Adonis being the Sword Thief who's earned himself quite the infamy, Belle wants to help, but Gaff restricts her. And to make matters even worse, him being bullied by the people around him, and going even as far as to kill the wildflower pops which she's been taking care of for the bit. To that extent, Adonis allowing her in his world to understand where he comes from, even the swords that he "stole" from folks who passed on, which explains his power: Question.

The Tree God's selection of the solist bands to defeat Tiziano at Katakombe, split into Underdogs and Topdogs to deal with Deus Ex Machina. as both Sian and Kitty the All assumes the battle would turn out to be. But for now, Belle can only follow the instructions of her band as they head together as the opening act of Schwert Muzik.

Considering Belle and Adonis's relationship, it's all good for now, though what will the future have for them?

I had a little trouble following this episode, but I'm loving the inventiveness of this setting so much, I don't even care when I get kinda lost.

With all the music imagery this time 'round, I can't help but think in those terms and consider that the anime has a mad composer, violently throwing splashes of ink down as they arrange notes into what should be a symphony, and indeed manages some quite beautiful segments, but is ultimately creating a cacophony of discordant notes and instruments clashing and making no sense.

Literally lost 95% of the time in this show, but I love it. It makes you want to know what is going on, but never explains fully. Will watch until its last days.

Also.. are they about to fight or play band music?

I start feeling like I'm getting a good understanding of things, and then something new is added to the mix! They're marching into battle in a group now, I understand that much 👀. I like Adonis so far and how him and Belle became fast friends.

I am slightly confused about Belle's level of empathy! Because before it was said that she would cut down living things, if she was told to do so, pretty effortlessly. But she became really angry at those guys for doing the same. I was surprised to see her so empathetic towards the Pops, but then I thought it must be because she had time to become attached to them and feel like she was taking care of them. Maybe this was meant to be part of her journey. Like the reason she got her curse was that she would cut down other beings easily, so through her journey she will learn to treat all brings like those she gets attached to. Just an idea :).

Bye Bye, Earth? More like bye bye, plot. Last episode I knew a little what was going on, but I don't follow it anymore. Maybe it's a good plot, but I completely zoned out halfway through. Oh well, it is what it is

Did anyone else find that the second half of the episode suddenly felt like you were listening to people at the Mat Hatter's tea party?
Like I had no idea wtf was going on, and why they were suddenly in a marching band, and some guy was writing a "script" in a wagon..?
I can guess what things meant and that it's a weird world-building thing that aparently armies are like marching bands in this universe, but so many things were just chucked out randomly that it felt slightly tiring and tedious to watch.

it was pretty good, I really like the world building in the anime, though I wish they explained more of the limits to the worlds plot. But it has been loving to me so far! Plus no fan service which I personally like from shows.

I like Belle's sense of justice, she beat the crap out of those bullies.

Love the character design and mystery. It started to fall off the tracks on episode 4 and made me feel like I missed a few whole episodes of lore and what things meant.

Soundtrack is great and aesthetic. Maybe Ill try again later.

I like the show's production values like how it's drawn and animated, but I find myself starting to resent this show.

As I explained last episode, the mysterious plot is not compelling at all; and normally this isn't necessarily a bad thing if the characters or world are captivating, however they aren't enough. The characters are sort of flat, not bad but not good enough to carry the show in an absence of a clear plot. The world building has a lot of alien stuff being introduced, but it failing to show the importance of why we should care about something so alien, and it's not novel enough to captivated. What's worse is they're introducing too much world building without showing the importance of the early stuff they've introduced already. I'm starting to resent anything new being introduced at this point because they haven't really done anything profound with the earlier stuff already, so why should I care? And because of that I don't want to be introduced to anything more at this time.

And now in this episode the latter half the basic plot isn't just mysterious, it's disjointed. Suddenly they inside some creature drinking tea or something like they're in a room, then suddenly they're in some mock battlefield after spying on the king. Like WTF?! And not to mention those flower pups which are introduced to look all cute and stuff so the audience would hate those bullies some more, felt super cheaply done. They're explained to be like some weeds or something in this world, who cares about them?! But they're cute, and the MC is trying to defend them...oh please, what lame manipulative execution to work over the audience with.

I haven't seen a show shoot themselves in both feet like this with a mysterious plot that's too mysterious and now disjointed, and too much world building without properly introducing it, and showing the importance of it so we know why we should care.
