the beginning was really good, then got lost a bit and the exam slash tournament episodes were kinda meh. the op and ed were both great. it was a different kinda anime and i liked it, hopefully season 2 will improve the major problems.

Leaving the first 3-4 episodes aside, the rest really didn't have it in it. I mean I still don't remember the names of these new buddies we shared the better half of this season doing an exam. Don't even get me started over how none of them couldn't figure out Hibiki's real identity.

Seriously, then you've someone coming in at the last moment and killing Blue.. just like that. They clearly need to slow it down and make better attempts over how NOT to present D as a confused chicken. Fairly average, and yeah even the animation isn't consistent enough. I'll watch the second season hoping it improves, but yeah, hope is all we can do.

Actually, this was much better than I anticipated. I like the animation, and the plot was intriguing. I'll get to Season 2 eventually, but I'm less hesitant now and look forward to it.

i am a BIG fan of power ranger/super sentai based anime and honestly i loved the plot and all, even got the first volume before i even watched the anime BUT at some moments along watching there were level of animation of a fan made video, honestly, for example the moment there is a close up to yumeko's face and she nods her head, it's straight up just moves up and down like they dragged the head up and down in painter on windows, its genuinely upsetting.
tho i will say, i did love the use of 3d animation along the series, it wasnt used in a way like in arifueta where its just to fill in for monsters they dont want to animate but it was also in a really good level that sometimes i didnt even notice it was used
