I would say that it is certainly still possible for parents or guardians to provide proper care and accommodations for those with disabilities. It has been done, and will be done again in the future, so it seems unreasonable to say that these people are being neglectful of these individuals, if they are well taken care of. It's more neglectful to mistreat them after they are born. |

To normalize such behaviour is very destructive, from a power dynamics point of view. It should always be ostracized. |

I would say that it is certainly still possible for parents or guardians to provide proper care and accommodations for those with disabilities. It has been done, and will be done again in the future, so it seems unreasonable to say that these people are being neglectful of these individuals, if they are well taken care of. It's more neglectful to mistreat them after they are born.

I don't intend to open a broader discussion of abortion, I'm just trying to follow your logic. To me, it would seem as though, the only alternative to knowingly bringing a child into the world who has a disability would have to be an abortion. If it's already conceived, there's literally nothing else you can do. But If I'm understanding your prior statement correctly, you are less opposed to that.
