| Waste of time , I wouldn’t agree on that, unless we are talking about not so good examples like wasting thousands of hours on a single game instead of going out there and expierencing other games aswell. Talking about paying for games, I personally don’t really pay all that much for them because I see no problem of pirating greedy big developer games and paying for the Indie ones who are usually pretty cheap if you buy on steam during the right time |
| @Tamasul One of my fondest memories was a 55 killstreak on turbine with 2 pocket medics shoved up my ass, glorious times I tell you. But to answer the question no, video games arent a waste of time. I think I have about 500 hours in dedicated solely to rocket jumping and 50 of those spent solely on C tapping and I wouldnt trade it for the world. + with the elden ring DLC out im just gonna spend even more time on games. |

| If you have fun, it's not a waste. Most of the life you live is spent having to do boring stuff like schoolwork, studying, work, chores, caring for family members, babysitting, etc. Collection is a mania and you don't have to sell them stuff at resale price if you don't want the markup profit. |

| Depends. I think gotcha games are a waste of money because they are designed to take the players' money. But if they are not gotcha games. I would say no if you enjoy it and actually play said games. If you buy a game and never play it then of course it's a waste of money. But that would be the same for like a book, movie, etc. If you never did anything with that thing you bought. Bertrand Russel once said "The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time." and I take that to heart. So enjoy what you enjoy at the end of the day. It's not a waste of time cause it's something meaningful to you. |

| You should only play a video game if you feel compelled to and it brings something to your life. When I was growing up video games were an art form that pushed the boundaries of technology and ideas, now days they’re just shallow disposable entertainment. If you’re under the age of 30 you shouldn’t play any video games, at least nothing released after 2012, instead you should learn computers and programming and help push western civilization forward. If I had kids I would ban them from anything post 6th generation and have them use their time towards more creative and productive pursuits. |
| Heck no it's not. I couldn't imagine life without it. I guess if you're a hardcore collector and have to spend your money and means of living just to buy the most rarest game. Maybe something like that would be a problem. In moderation though like anything else it's fine. |

| Yeah, to me, there is no point in playing video games. At first, it is all fun and exciting until perhaps 2-3 weeks when I feel regret and completely stopped playing the game. It just gets boring eventually, and the guilt just comes. It's all not worth it. I could have spend these hours on something better. |
