Fairy Tail is a lot of fun and it actually features cool female characters who are truly strong, that's pretty rare for a shounen series.*loves Erza~*

I love her toooo!! It's one of the main attractions for me, a series without an annoying girl!!! (Lucy also amuses me so much) but I guess you probably already know that ^__^

Well, the character design is certainly....special the main character would easily win the 'silliest hairstyle ever' award.XD But the witty dialogue and the weird love story definitely shows that it's based on a story by the Bakemonogatari creator. I'm definitely looking forward to more!

The character interaction and dialog in Katanagatari was a lot of fun. I also enjoyed the fact that...
It's not something you normally see in this type of show.

I'm still enjoying PoT. And even though I like the main character, he is an arrogant little snot that I just wanna smack sometimes. >.<

Just started watching Princess Tutu, i needed a change of pace after all the Slayers silliness .:)

The 'magical girl' genre isn't exactly my favourite but the plot looks interesting enough for now. And i like ballet. And shows that use funny German names.XD

Tutu was really good, and the music was great as well.

I am trying to finish Seitokai no Ichizon... its really torturous. Its not that its horrible in a this anime sucks so much kind of way, but it is so uninteresting and boring that watching it is like a job. But I hate dropping things, I even feel bad about the one thing I did drop and still plan to finish even that. Only 2 more episodes to go, I can do it!

I also drop without ounce of remorse ^^
But in some cases, most notably Naruto and Reborn I just fast-forward through the ep.... reborn ep 169 I finished in just under 2 minutes.... >_>
(actually Naruto started fillers again so instead of ff I put in hold and just going to skip them until it's back to Sasuke.. er I mean the manga)

I really just hate not finishing something. I havent seen something bad enough for me to drop and never want to see the end of. Besides if something is bad I want to finish it so I can roast it in a review. Thats my burning motivation to get through things that suck. Like every yaoi program I have watched.

LOL! Naruto has entered the stage where i actually enjoy the fillers more than the rest, sadly enough. I sometimes do the fast-forwarding with manga, especially Bleach...anime just gets dropped mercilessly.

I dropped Bleach both manga and anime years ago >_>
I do skim through Naruto & Reborn manga as well.... I don't have the patience for the lame shounen jump stuff and most of the characters annoy me.... I'd just drop it but I like Sasuke and Hibari too much... *sigh*

Welcome sbyrstall :-)

I also just recently finished GTO, I won't go into detail with my thoughts on it now .. but it'll be fun to hear your thoughts on it when finished, to compare with mine ;-)

I’m currently watching the Rumiko Takahashi Anthology. Being such a fan of Ranma & Maison Ikkoku, I’m wondering what took me so long to see this collection of her short stories. I’m through the first 5 (out of 13) and so far they’re great! Just as engaging, quirky & fun as her longer series’ are :-)

I'm about 9 or 10 episodes into it. I'm liking it. If I was an American teacher and did what Onizuki did I would be spending decades in jail.

If you're watching that, you have to tell me how the episode "Abberant Family F" ends. My DVD of this craps out in the middle of the episode, and apparently fansubs don't even exist.

Compared to Elfen Lied, Mnemosyne is rather tame in the gore department, but the freak factor is seriously off the charts. I guess that's why it fascinated me as much as it did! ^_^

I restarted Ichigo Mashimoro today. I originally started it a while ago but didnt really like the episode I saw so dropped it. Now I am back. I dont seem to have the concentration for anything really complicated at the moment so these slice of life uncomplicated ones suit me down to the ground. I also caught up with Kimi Ni Todoke, but ep 16 ws more like a flashback so it didnt do anything for me.

I agree ep 16 was a waste (especially in a 24ep series, seriously did you guys need a vacation week?)
ep 17 was very good.

About half way through Honey and Clover and I am not sure if I am liking it or beginning to get bored with it. The whole Hagu thing has me way puzzled.

Episode 16 of Kimi pissed me off so much. I would like to form a pitchfork and torches crusade to end the scourge of the recap episode forever from the earth. Honestly in this day and age of DVR, internet streaming there is no reason at all for recap episodes. And certainly not in a 24 episode series. Grr.

@nixops Ichigo Mashimaro is so wonderful! I just love it and the way Miu is always getting smacked down is so hilarious.

But ain't it grand! That was one of my few 9's. Talk about an intense story and right now I'm biting my lip to keep from blurting out spoilers.

And I have this to thank for the latest series I'm watching.

Well, with my pc currently out of commission, and thanks to a wonderful friend's generosity, I am currently rewatching Kanon (2006). I have completely forgotten all the reasons I fell in love with this series, mostly Yuuichi.

I'm also amazed at how much I have forgotten. It was almost like watching it for the first time, all over again. I just finished Mai's arc. I had completely forgotten about 90% of that arc. It was a joy to watch it again. And previously, as the first time, Makoto's arc made me cry like a baby.

Next arc up is for my favorite Kanon girl, Shiori. I'm excited to watch it again... and will have tissues ready. :)

The thing with School Rumble is that a few episodes in, the secondary characters basically take over and it turns awesome.

Currently watching a bootleg DVD of Hataraki Man. It's set at a culture/tabloid magazine in Tokyo and follows the staff as they deal with each other and face unexpected challenges in putting together each issue. Any anime that's as exclusively about adults as this one is a rare find, for sure, and each episode is surprisingly poignant and funny.

The only drawback so far is that the English subitltes on the DVD (imported from Malaysia) are atrocious and make the most dialog-intensive scenes (of which there are many) borderline incomprehensible. We've had some luck getting well-translated DVDs from this vendor in the past but this has happened before and I think this is where I draw the line and look into other options. Looking forward to watching the rest of the series, but wish that this wasn't an issue.
