| If anyone thought that the first episode wasn't violent and gruesome enough, episode 2 is here to answer that and then some! Even for me, where I've seen my fair share of anime involving a lot of bloodshed, this episode didn't hold back on that part at all. The stress and pressure on everyone here must've been on an extreme level and for others, to no one's surprise, to make very poor decisions that would get themselves killed off, but I do respect Jin-Woo for being able to stay calm enough to help the surviving group through the phases against the gods in this room. Despite his early success, it did go down to the absolute wire with him staying behind, all alone, where he made his futile, but brave last stand. The result, in the form of another cliffhanger, was victory and for him to become a player, where if he refused, his heart would've lasted no more than 0.02 seconds before giving out for good. As expected, the "Yes" option was chosen. I'm expecting the next episode to show us what it means to be a "player". A-1 Pictures went for it for the OP and ED visuals, where the quality of the animation was great. The ED itself, it a 4:3 aspect ratio if I recall correctly, was a nice touch that gave the ED a slight horror vibe, while the impressive song played. |

| That was actually much better than i have expected. People hyped the shit out of tower of god and god of highschool which ended up being a disappointment for me. This one seems promising. |

| A1 and Sawano showing what's they capable of - as I am not familiar with Manhwa at any point as I don't read it, I've kept hearing for a very long time about this title through many sources since, tbh I think since 2018 when it started coming out, cause my roomate back than was reading it and talking about it. I wish the 2nd episode was together with the first one as it would be much better to make them together [the only possible nitpick to apply here], can't wait for the rest. The vocal when it started damn, straigth shivers. I hope everything keeps going on good level as it is for now. |
| A lot better than first ep which was more just a quick intro. That was pretty intense. I like these kinds of statue god type characters ive seen it done before i just like the trope since they have an unsettling feel to their inhumanness. |

| maybe a little off topic but did the names change to japanese names? i swear in the first episode i heard their original korean names, but in this one jinwoo's sister and joohee's names are different (at least those were the ones that i catched). just curious :) |

| How exciting! I kept getting nervous and scared of what was going to happen... I thought Jin Woo wouldn't die but apparently he got a second chance at life (how?) I swear the whole time I was watching this I kept swearing at that Kim especially when he said that their leader got his hand cut off because of karma!!! And at the end!!! When he said those words to Jin Woo while crying, wtf!!!! He thanked him but still managed to say "....didn't expect even though you're the weakest" or something like that?! omg please just shut the fuck up.... AAAAAAARGGHHHHH my anger is boiling over at him. Please tell me that he will die in the next episodes. Or, if he doesn't die, at least let Jin Woo meet him again and get revenge. I'm sorry for being so dramatic lol but I'm burning with rage. T____T Can't wait for the next episode! (Although honestly I didn't expect to be served so many blood splashes on my screen lol hahaha) |

| yeah, not for me. Reeks of "i'm 15 and angry at the world". His death wounds montage got me playing 'Linkin Park - In the end' in my head. Just cringe. No matter how good, gory, edgy(for a teenagers) the animation is, the world logic and the characters are just... silly. But it is telling a alot about the society that enjoys such stories. It also tells me, for a few seasons in a row, that the most hyped shonen show of the season is most likely just not my type of thing. |
