| Damn, Johan is so god-like he can even imitate Noto Mamiko's sweet voice perfectly. Truly the deadliest trap in seinen history. Ridiculous (and pretty bad) episode overall. Even though they are twins, it's still impossible for someone like Johan to emulate Anna's small and perfectly feminine body figure. Like seriously, who would have thought such acclaimed thriller anime would test your suspension of disbelief to this degree? |

He's probably just softening his already sweet voice but the anime had to use Anna's seiyuu so as to not make it obvious to the viewer that it's Johan |

| Grimmer's decision to give the key to that stupid detective was a big mistake. Apart of that, I noticed early that Anna personality has changed, I was almost sure that it wasn't Nina, especially when I saw the candy, also in the dialogue between Tenma and that man about the mother and her child, the man said that the mother had only one child, then I began to suspect of Anna's existence and that both characters had always been Johan himself, so the last scene didn't surprise me, but I'm confused, how did Johan completely imitate Anna's voice ? and how did he get that feminine body ? I mean, come on!! however the last 4 eps was better than the whole first half of the show. |
| @HaChiiman they just stylized it that way. Monster is originally a manga which has no sound so in anime they completely masked it with Nina's voice instead and guess, it did fool everyone. Same with his body. We've never seen how Johan's physique actually looks like. You see Monster is just that type of story where you won't see the relevance of stuff like these unless you deduce them. |
| This is the first time I've seen Johan actively try to find info for himself, kinda like Tenma but through his own manipulative ways. No wonder he used his laced candies again, though you have to know a lot about your sister to impersonate her like that |

| i'm a bit late here bc i watched this episode like last week but i just had to come here and say: HOLY SHIT!! never has an anime ever made my jaw literally drop. i have never been more mind blown. probably the greatest ending to an episode i've ever seen. a week has passed but i still can't get the ending of episode 44 out of my head. | A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR THIS GODDAMN MAN LMFAO 👏 👏 👏 Well played Johan That smile in the mirror is so iconic It's totally believable because first of all we've been told many times how pretty Johan is, almost a girly beauty. And they're twins so of course he can mask himself to look the same as Anna. Not only that but also because of the candies and Tenma's conversation with the old man.. This was originally a manga where Johan could've just softened his voice and we couldn't hear him anyway, but in the anime they did it fairly good by just using Anna's VA. Also the fact that... well he's a psycho HAHAHA what a madman Got surprised that "Nina" said her real name to Suk so that was another sign lol I can't get over Suk being so naive that he spills all information about his investigations, dude that stuff isn't supposed to be told to anyone outside I wonder why Grimmer gave the key to Suk? Also he didn't even have time to open it, does he not want to? |
