@Fatephile Stick to your kiddie wish fulfillment series bleach. JJK is for men
@Gitown234 Lmfao I've watched kiddie cartoon shows as a kid that could be taken more seriously than JJK. Remove the blood from it and all you get is an incoherent story with colorful splashes for a 7 year old

That was some weird ending, the notices of Jujutsu HQ's brass in particular. Why "deem" Gojo as a supposed "accomplice" and sentence Masamichi Yaga to death on top of that for... "incitement"?!!?

Isn't Gojo getting trapped in that cube by "Geto" a direct contradiction of the risible "being an accomplice" accusation?

Even as a blame shifting scheme to cover their asses for all that mess it makes no sense. And the surviving sorcerers who were actually there -unlike the brass, who were surely safe in Kyoto- can testify those two accusations are complete bollocks...
@Sharpedon whole episode was shit with too Pure animation quality lol, they showed no content in this episode why they gave yuki's entry if no fight lol.. I just didn't liked season finale 😭
This episode was like an intro of next season 👿 tf.. 5/10

The end of that episode was a hot mess.

Like they mentioned they were buying time for someone to do something, then they cut away to a powerpoint without much context of world events.

A whole Season without a single W for the good guys (I guess it more than makes up for the reverse situation in S1), and from the looks of it it's only getting worse from here on out.

That was a disappointing season.

I don't really expect much in the way of plot from JJK, but I still need something to compliment/balance against all the fighting. There was a big void of plot development for like 10~11 straight episodes. Admittedly, JJK is more of guilty pleasure show for me where I can enjoy (what is usually good) MAPPA animation work and fun battle sequences, but I still demand a little bit of plot development. It began great (by JJK standards) with Hidden Inventory and the first few episodes of Shibuya, but then the story halted and we just went from fight to fight and it became boring after a while, especially also because some of them dragged like that Looney Tunes-like Mahito fight. Btw, they really need to tone down the destruction and save it for big moments like that Sukuna vs Mahoraga battle. It would probably be good for the animators well being and would make the bigger fights feel more impactful. Instead we keep seeing all these random low-level characters blowing up buildings and destroying environments at large scale.

Despite my complaints, I still enjoyed the show for the most part... Otherwise I would have dropped it. I was beginning to lose interest in the show after Toji's "suicide" though. Anyway, this last episode was solid as it set up story lines for the upcoming season. I wish I could have been more excited by the Yuta return, but it wasn't as impactful as it should have been. I think all the scenes with blabbering by the non-sorcerers (government and news agencies, etc.) about what was going on in Shibuya felt like it kind of went on too long so I was sort of checking out before Yuta reappeared. I liked that scene with the girl and the ghost though. It had good creepy atmosphere compared to how goofy the curses in this show are usually presented.

The HI and Shibuya Incident arc were hyped to death before the season aired, but thanks to the brilliant work of Mappa's staff, they lived up to it.

JJK S2 is effectively the latest addition to classic shonen arcs. Every single episode raised the stakes, the action was superb, cool moments were woah(!), and even though the story and dialogue may not be the best in the genre, it was beyond satisfactory and kept me interested all the way.

Mahoraga vs Sukuna was the season's highlight for me, but just about every main character got their 15 mins. of fame.

Stand proud, you have cooked.

Why would I spend my time watching shows I don't like? 💢

Man, this was one hell of a ride, huh? =)

Even considering how destructive and sad that the Shibuya Incident Arc has been, the ending of the arc itself was more sombre and worrying than I thought it would be. Yuta making a return is nice, but the higher-ups have now gone into overdrive, with Gojo now being made a scapegoat over the whole incident and Yuta himself being declared as Yuji Itadori's executioner.

Overall, this second season has been a rollercoaster of chaos and fun. The animation for most fights have been excellent and many characters had their spotlight during this arc in particular. Having said that, sometimes there was a little too much over saturation of constant fights and some episodes had pretty underwhelming production quality.

Still, I had great fun overall, so I'll settle for a 9/10 overall and look forward to the next arc when it comes out, hopefully with better production planning from MAPPA, however wishful that thought is.

Wow Power Point Presentation for finale. damn.

The world after Shibuya Incident is gonna be pure CHAOS!!

Damn as soon as Gojo got captured they just tossed him like that? of course the higher ups people are bullshit.
come on i want Yuta and Itadori to be friends.

Despite all the production issues and drama throughout this season, They did it.
Thanks to all those hardworking overwork ANIMATORS!!
So many Amazing fight after fight, Itadori vs Choso might the be one of the best fight scene of 2023. and they continue with Sukuna vs Jogo, It was just blowing my mind.

9/10 for sure.

But MAPPA please take a break, stop taking so many project in one year.
doing 1 Anime per season is just INSANE!!

Yep perfectly stopped there, Yuta and the whole mission also manage to get done. Tsumiki plan to meet Tengen. The whole plan of Kenjaku.

I think this is a solid season. Even though there's a problem here and there, jjk still solid as my wall nuts.

Let's hope the next arc won't be more than 4 years max. Or else, i mught try to split something in a half....

Also wtf Yuta!

What a fantastic season, idc even with the troubled production; I haven't fallen in love with a anime like this in such a long time so it is a 10/10 for me.
As much as I want the next season soon as possible, hopefully MAPPA learns from this and give their animators the proper care they deserve.

And just like that, season 2 comes to a close... its been a wild ride, just like season 1 was... can't believe it's over again.

I can't wait for it to return but the wait is always so long!!!

I know for sure season 3 will be amazing, I'm properly going to read the manga now so I'm excited!

This seasons animation, music, voice acting and everything else was just out of this world, it was so good that the animation alone is making people watch it!

Good to see Yuta back, as we saw in the last episode Mahito is gone (I hope it stays like that). Itadori sure had his character development, We'll se in the next seasons if it continues and how Itadori lives with it. We also saw some of Yuki. although we still don't know much about her. Good end of season. Hope Mappa takes the time enough to produce another good season.

Now this show has dug itself so deep and I would like to see how it will get itself out of it. Also, what is this crazy decision deeming Gojo an accomplice. The dude was fighting tooth and nail to save you ungrateful bitches.

The only thing I didn't like was the elders deeming Gojo an accomplice. He fought hard to reduce causalities and still got prison cubed. Just felt forced to create more "story drama". The other stuff made more sense (Yuji is a threat as vessel as already seen by Sukana's takeover, etc). Otherwise for how action heavy the later part of the season was it was nice to slow back down and end the season laying out some more story beads to develop for next season. I wouldn't have mind a better wrap up on the conclusion of whereabouts and such of the good guys side but whatever. I like the energy Yuta brings to the show.

Despite the background industry drama that was going on they still managed to produce some memorial scenes in animation. Was a good watch overall.

This season could have been 10 times more hype if Sunghoo Park had directed it. JJK lost its soul and became something else when Goshozono took over and Park left. No Juju Sanpo/Juju Stroll, simplified art style, slow motion spam in all fights, unfinished episodes, general mismanagement of staff and time, tonal whiplash with comedic sketches, very poor OST choices in most scenes, etc. I give Goshozono's JJK a 5/10.

Sunghoo Park's JJK S1 and JJK 0 is a solid 10/10 for me. MAPPA CEO should forever thank Sunghoo Park for his work in creating a billion yen franchise for MAPPA. I am very sure that if Goshozono was the director from season 1, JJK would not be so popular.

@Gen2K_ Gojou is responsible for Getou's body getting snatched and for Itadori's death sentence being revoked which indirectly caused most of the carnage. It makes 100% sense if you also take into account how much they were against his politics and are definitely seeing this chaos as a result of those.

It was perfect. Perfect. Everything, down to the last-minute details.

#Shota Goshozono is one of a kind. The way he presents something is truly incredible. The way he handled this hellish production despite being a debut is remarkable. He is already one of the cornerstones of this industry and I hope he remains for S3 under a better schedule.

A few pacing issues I felt aside and a few deaths for characters I didn't really care about I'd say it about equal to S1 in my eyes 7/10.

Props to Shouta Goshozono for the vast improvement in the visual direction of S2. Sure this season could have been even better if it didn't have so many production issues, but I rather just say this season was good in spite of them instead of thinking about hypothetical "what ifs."
