She was a violent tsundere in the Original Anime (and Manga) , and it was already very obvious that she loved him. But her aggressiveness has been greatly reduced in this adaptation , so it's visible more clearly to those who don't pay too much attention. The Original Anime also had skipped/altered some gags about that. (Like Yahiko and Kaoru's discussion from this episode) |

| A beautiful girl running on the loose, and both Kenshin and Sanosuke ran off to a resultant that is having a gambling session, all to see the former's mind out of his fight with Jin-e. And of all places, she has to run into the restaurant to evade being killed, and seeing Kenshin with the sword, swings into action with Sanosuke against the young entrepreneur that is Kanryu Takeda's men. The assuming blond that is Megumi Takani carrying opium with her, Kenshin questions her intentions, though any answers about opium is out of the question. But even more, is the jealosy between Megumi and Kaoru, which she shut the two men and the former out. At this moment, Shu comes to seek them to see that 2 of the personal army has been taken out, and the confrontation on the riverbanks with the two sides facing each other: the swordsmen vs. the dangerous Oniwaban Group, led by Aoshi Shinomori. The strategy to outwit the Kanryu's group, as well as the Oniwaban Group, they can't afford to make any mistakes. The Oniwaban Group has started the assault, there's no time to think, but to get to action. |

| This time around we have a group full of some tough guys, huh. The leader might be able to put up a similar amount of fight to the assassin from eps ago, but if the nail guy was countered so quick.. most of the normal group couldn't last long at all against Kenshin. Using a nail as a gun is a pretty unique ability though. Must take a good amount of finger strength to flick it that hard, but with ranged attacks you never want to be that close to a swordsman. Especially useless against the Kenshin who cut a cannon shot in half, if he had the sword out he could probably easily parry to cut through that too (as long as there weren't people taking collateral damage). The new woman seems like an interesting character, even though her presence drives a wedge in the bond between Kenshin and Kaoru. Hopefully he can get her forgiveness and the two can quickly return to normal. |

| Uh yeah, the Oniwaban look very tough, but that Megumi girl is very suspicious obviously, they should be more cautious especially when she's carrying drugs... |
