There is not a hint of it in anime. It is all you "looking the other way", ignoring known facts and inventing alternative reality.
There is. The way his henchmen also refer to the kids as "his kids" is also a hint of something that you'll get in a couple of chapters.
Not to mention how Robin keeps referring to Kiruko/Haruki as kids during that infamous rape scene ("You kids are so interesting")

Fantastic episode, one of the best NTR scenes in all of anime just wow.
This anime is just getting darker and darker.
Wonder how will Maru react once he learns that Robin NTRed him.

Naah to hell with this, the Tengoku Daimakyou team owes me some counseling and traumatic damages:

The whole anime so far has been great, honestly at times it feels so good that I'm tempted to read the Manga and get it done and over with, but I'm glad I stuck with the anime. The visuals are superb and the direction is second to none, imo this anime is a strong anime of the season contender. And to cap it all off Ep 12 however controversial left an eeri but contented feeling, and if wasn't sure that this anime is a masterpiece now I sure am.

PS: Robin does not deserve oxygen.

This show doesn't feel like the type to have a second season
Really? To me it feels so open-ended with vast, effectively endless possibilities since it's just a meandering travelogue about trying to live amid scarcity and devastation and exploring the whole of a post-apocalyptic world, or whole of Japan in a post-apocalyptic world anyway, to try to figure out a way to live in relative safety and stability and move forward again while getting to the bottom of understanding what led to the apocalypse in the first place as a side concern. It seems like something which could go on for dozens or even hundreds of more episodes (not that I think the latter is a realistic prospect with the way the trend of anime series being produced to be shorter is in more recent years), even settle into an episodic or Slice of Life rhythm before becoming more focused and like a more intense adventure survival horror again for an episode or string of episodes, cycling around.

The only issue I see is that even if it continues, it might still be years until the next season and for that and/or any future seasons after it, in the future the production of the series might change, it might switch studios and have not such a high budget and the same production values.

A reminder - we were discussing the hints foreshadowing the rape scene in anime. What happens during and after the scene can't possibly be considered foreshadowing.

"The way his henchmen also refer to the kids as "his kids"" - I am fairly certain that nothing like that happened in the anime.

First things first as a men should never lay his hands on a woman if she doesn't want to, no is no.
But i should also that Kiruko shouldn't have taken a shower at a men's place she was way to trusting of Robin.
Haruki idolised him and as such didn't see his flaws which where clearly there i already thought he was an asshole from the previous episodes and this proves i was right.
There isn't anything that can justify Robins behaviour i hope he suffers in future episodes.

As for the kids a lot was happening it was chaos but the end proved it was day time meaning that the order of events with Kiruko and the students was happening at different times even tho the impression is giving that the where occuring at the same time.
My question here how much time difference, it could be days but it might be years.
since haruki's mental age seems to be still pretty young and naive + he idolizes robin and sees him as someone he can trust, i'm not surprised that he took a bath there. anyways, fuck robin.

Things have been building up to become intense and I have no idea how it’s going to turn out. We’ve been looking for Robin all time and turns out out he’s alive, the leader of the place, and now a rapist!?? What’s going on bruh…

What caused the academy to fall to ruin? The kids find the outside but what’s next. The fruit being cut is some sort of hint but I still haven’t pieced it together. Gotta wait for the final episode

Finally they adapted the disturbing part, I find myself overreacting to it while I was watching it, not in a bad way. Overall though, the mystery thickens yet again. And lastly, Fuck you Robin.
This. I don't know the story of the manga and I didn't expect such a scene. The fact "disfigured my feelings". It was hard to watch, as well as disgusting. The story is gone, I will follow the anime but I will follow it with different eyes, without expecting too much from the characters.

I wonder what is going on with the academy. Was it an planned from the inside by someone on staff, something random or something that AI caused? Imagine how weird it would feel to live your whole life in a dome then find an outside world beyond that. Anyway I said it before and i will say it again Mimihime seems really brave and you see it again here how she didnt even hesitate going into a hole that looked like it could collapse.

I don't think Robin is acting on lust he seems to have a grudge against either Kiriko or Haruki or both of them. Why else would he try and force Haruki to look in the mirror to see his sister be violated? This obviously is punishment, unless he specificaly gets off on suffering but if that were the case for the later nothing from the flashbacks in the past had suggested Robin did anything to Kiriko back then or even had interest in her so why now?   I mean he looked scared to death seeing who he thought was Kiriko, not shockingly relieved she's alive scared she is and was right there in front of him as if she had done something to him or something scared him about her.  Either that or he's trying to find proof in reaction it's Haruki in there and not that old woman though he could have had other means to do that so I dont know. Or maybe Robin was wanting to impregnate her, but why and if so why the sadism? Hopefully they explain since I dont feel this is just random.

man that ending scene is brutal. I knew it was going to happen so I was super on edge the whole episode, but I heard it was censored so I was thinking, oh maybe it's not so graphic/explicit/disturbing. Nnnnope. it might not show as much, but sometimes leaving things to the imagination is worse. to be clear, I think the scene is excellent, it evokes all the emotions it should. it feels so claustrophobic and disjointed and sudden.

on a slightly lighter note, I adored that shot of Kiruko in the broken mirror, with her head at the point of impact. the scene direction in this anime is nothing short of amazing.

Watching the main character getting physically assaulted, humiliated and abused in the worst way possible is not supposed to be fun or exciting. It's utterly traumatic, maddening and comparable to Casca getting assaulted by her idol and master Griffith. If some audience lowered their score dramatically for this scene, I would understand it.

Yet the art direction and tone of this episode is overall outstanding.

Kiruko wanted ver badly to see Robin, and that did happen. Felt pretty emotional at the start, and then freaky stuff occurred! I can see already many people would be uncomfortable about it, I let it flow as I think it's somehow fitting considering the amount of disturbing scenes that happened before. On the other hand tho, the kids are now free from the orphan, experiencing the outside world and already being shocked seeing the blue sky and the trees in front of them

The ending of the episode was one of the most disgusting scenes I ever watched in any piece of fiction. It was similar to what happened To Shou Tucker from Full metal Alchmist, being betrayed by the very person you trust. Besides, the fact that I looked forward to this episode made my experience even more gruesome.

Anyone who is like "oh, wow, this came out of nowhere" when a handful of episodes ago Kiruko said something along the lines of not liking Haruki spending so much time with Robin. She clearly knew something about the dude but didn't want to upset her brother. It's likely that Robin had raped someone in their town prior and because he was such a local idol, it was swept under the rug. If Kiruko found out despite that, of course she would warn her brother in a subtle way, but wouldn't really say anything specific.

That said, yeah, the scene is jarring af because all signs up to this point implied any misgivings were just red herrings. That, or it could turn out that Robin is actually the doctor and shenanigans happened. That wouldn't really absolve the scene of any discomfort, but it would at least make it more tolerable to know that the guy everyone suspected of being the piece of trash turned out to be a body-swapping piece of trash.

Also, for anyone trying to justify the scene as "Hiruko wanting it" or otherwise, I would suggest you do some light reading on sexual predators. It's a well-documented fact that predators will often behave in a manner that enables a victim to trust them. When they do spring their trap, the victim is in shock. This means that the brain is trying to connect dots that don't normally connect together because the behavior is so disconnected from what our minds are used to. Someone putting on a shallow front to scam us is obvious because our minds can pick apart small inconsistencies. But, someone who pretends to love and respect us long-term and hasn't displayed any noticeable inconsistencies? It's almost impossible to figure out how we got from point A to point B in that situation.

Hiruko is in shock and can't process it. Afterwards, they might relapse and convince themselves that they wanted it because the brain is trying to cope at that point. It needs to fall back on a line of reasoning that makes sense in that situation. "I didn't resist because I enjoyed it." It's easy to fall into that trap and adopt a behavior that promotes it. That doesn't preclude that Hiruko enjoyed it. It means as a way of dealing with the situation, her mind convinced itself that such was the case.

And anyone who sees rape in media and says "meh, it's a narrative device" is missing the point.Yes, it is a narrative device. It is also a means to convey information to the reader/viewer. In this context, something was off with Robin to the point that Kiruko tried to warn her brother. Now, we see that come full circle. Heck, Robin was just off in general from the get-go, yet we as the viewer couldn't really connect the dots. Nothing about him seemed inconsistent enough to figure it out. The scene basically presents why our guts were rumbling when Robin was on-screen. And once again, a predator isn't going to do anything that outright triggers alarm bells in someone's mind. Any inconsistencies are ticks and any odd behavior can be excused. It should be both shocking and extremely uncomfortable Kiruko and the audience.

I honestly think Heavenly Delusion has just done some amazing work in presenting its themes thus far. The idea that someone we are close to could be so deranged is a very real and scary concept on its own. If you read a bit into it, too, Kiruko's personality and who they think they are could be considered either a means for someone to handle trauma or even a subtle dialogue on transgenderism. I know the story is making it fairly obvious that Haruki is inside Kiruko's head, but it's still neat that however intentional or not the story isn't afraid to briefly touch on both those themes.

Wow thank You, FINALLY someone who bring these two topic matueely enought, when i read this in the manga i was so disgusted but for some reason i wanted tomlook at this more tan only fanservice or just shock device... I also thought of the idea of what is for this specific character to handle what he is yet this is barely a point of Focus AGAIN in the manga which make me hate Mangaka a little, i don't like explicit rape scenesin any media, You can show same messsge with just more sutil not graphic imagery
