Everything is resolved and they fucked, the end.
Not really my kind of fantasy show, found everything basic and not memorable, from the plot to the characters, still OK to watch but I won't miss it for sure.

| While the initial start between Red and Rit was a little forced, I came to love their relationship. And really it was this relationship that makes this show so special. Rit was cute/flirty and Red was thoughtful/embracing. This combination should be more common in anime. I got to see kisses, I got to see snuggles, I got to see tasteful bed scenes that went beyond fade to black, I got to see so many expressions of love (verbal and otherwise), tender moments, etc. And yes even the deed. It (and them apparently) was beautiful. If I were to give one negative, I wish these moments had been given a touch more time to provide more impact but really, this show really did a great job. And I really feel like it should be celebrated more for that. It's because of this, I am so surprised by the MAL score (6.93 at the time of writing). What I guess most have a problem with is the rest of the show. I will admit it was weaker given the romance/fantasy-life bits were so good but I still enjoyed that too. There were some confusing parts toward the end (why did Theodora attack them?), some characters were rather weak, and there was some pacing issues as well. However, I did enjoy the Ruti plot and the flashbacks that fleshed out the characters backgrounds/motives. Pretty happy with S1. S2 comments seem to suggest it won't be as good but I'm still excited to see more of this show. Onward! |
