That was so bittersweet. Senkuu’s expression when he was listening to Byakuya, I think that was the first time we’ve seen him genuinely smile & not smirk. Made me a little sad.

Have to agree I really enjoyed the SOL bits where they were exploring & experimenting & developing their science way more than going to war lol. But I’m hyped to get started on the 2nd season too, those new characters briefly shown look cool!!!! And OMG TAIJU AND YUZURIHA!!!!!! Glad to see they’re doing ok & Taiju’s still the same old. He would totally get along with Chrome lololllll

but i’ll probably remember over and over again
you were there and everyone else was there

expected little more of that record, some twist his late father gonna bring, but oh well. was fine finale episode for the 1st season, kinda summarises up what we had this season and what "we will not" have the next one lol.

for me this is round 9
at the start of the anime it was close to 10, but as there was that tournament and those battle episodes it went down for 8 for me. but then there was that masterpiece twist with senku father that blew my mind and those final episodes. truly amazing series. the animation had downhill from the first episodes. maybe it's for the 1080p to highlight those but the animation just got worse as it continued. maybe if the animation wasn't that good at the beginning i wouldn't really care lol.

to the next seaason~

I really enjoyed the last episode and this entire season, the anime is very good.
I thought it was really cool that Byakuya left a record for Senku, however, I wanted there to be more important things said on that record, I was disappointed about that.

Haha Senku, you should've told them about two cellphones. But to everyone's surprise we got a recording part, a recording of Byakuya and his crew. And again it hits right at home.

Really couldn't ask for a better conclusion than this, which definitely was a consistent run for me throughout. Loved this series, 9/10.
People who gave low score definitely missed their science class at school xD

To conclude: I really liked the 1st season to tbh. I actually learnt from it. Only downside to me is that show is pretty quick paced so it feels lowkey episodic although the show is not episodic by itself.

Senku is so dedicated and the fact he would spend so long making a cure all for Ruri is so amazing. even though he did it for 'science" we all know he also just wanted to make the people of Ishigami Village happy

Chrome's embrace of science was downright exhilarating xD. The show's pacing is spot-on, and everything just flows seamlessly. Senku's voice actor is exceptional, and leaving a song for a generation that likely never pondered the concepts of music or singing, like Lilian, adds a fantastic touch. Considering the technical level of the song, it's hard to believe that in many generations, someone didn't come up with at least tribal songs and the like. Even if the Priestess was informed about music transmission, it would still be quite challenging.

Every episode has been incredibly entertaining. Dr. Stone is a truly unique shonen—a fantastic show. I'm eagerly anticipating Season 2. The Stone Wars are on the horizon!

not my cup o coffee, i tried liking it by turning off all me brains but still couldnt like the plot. senku being senku while being a tsundere doing things for the greater good, is still just way too arrogant, like IRL streamers

the only part i liked were the full on 24 eps single cour, when was the last time we actually had something like that? also the music was rocky, yay

i know its a fiction = fiction + a hint of science but everything was just unpossibly imrealistic most of the time, and lots of inconsistencies. if it were magic themed id prolly accept it much easier
anime/manga version of steam would be awesome - https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1625396

very thought provoking story, the thought of land to claim and seas to sail sounds super cool, it's a shame all land has already been explored in this day and age, i would love to go on an expedition with Senku.

A good anime based on science for sure.
It was a delighting watch.

I had high hopes coming back to Dr stone after stopping a few episodes in years ago and im glad i did Dr Stone delivered and im glad i gave it a second chance, a second chance to shine.

Senku is one hell of smart man and him a his crew making a phone from all of these resources, though it may not be the phone we know and love today it is an achievement to be proud of and its one step closer in bringing science back to the world along with all the other great creations Senku will cook up.

Senku's dad and the rest of the space crew were some smart people as well with them having the knowledge to create a record from the bottom of a bottle and be able to record there voices into. I really liked the space crew they were all some great people and that song was really nice. The moment with the village hearing the song is something those people are gonna cherish forever.

It seems season 2 is when we will get the real action with the battle Senkus science team vs Tsukasa's team of might and power.

Imma be generous and give it a 7/10. Despite its shortcomings.

The premise is gold. His Dad being in space with other astronauts was a genius idea. The astronauts being the founders of the village even more so.

But the art is fucking ugly and 30 years old. Same for the humor.
The neck stone part was ass. Building a fucking phone instead of bolt action rifles as well.

The whole big bad evil antagonist is stupid. The anime would be better without Tsukasa or whatever he'a called. But a shounen jump anime of course needs good versus evil rivalry.
Getting back to modern civilization is a big enough goal. This didn't need a Stone War.

This could have been a 9/10 if it wasn't hold back by shounen jumps archaic ways. / It released in a seinen magazine instead.

Seriously, shounen jump = fucking ugly 30 years behind the times art guaranteed.

Wanted to like it more, but the "Kingdom of Science" and the idea of "science" being constantly referenced like it's a religion made it seem more cultish than the methodical, means to an end process it's supposed to be. Maybe the next seasons will improve on this aspect, contending with a more nuanced approach to the subject matter.

Moreover, the cast seems to be half-composed of people who are inexplicably superhuman as a means to justify Tsukasa's anarcho-primitivist dreams getting off the ground and setting up a dichotomy with Senko's aim to restore contemporary civilisation. Tsukasa would've been dealt with early on if he was constrained by the limits of human physicality, so it seems like these superhumans only exist to artificially justify a war of factions, and to give Senku a "weakness" to balance out him being an organic supercomputer/encyclopedia.

Still, it does have potential, if it tones down some of the more exaggerated rhetoric and overboard humour a tad.

I read manga and have always loved the story. It is one of the most wholesome series I've ever witnessed, and the animation does it justice, with it's comedy and science.
