| Of course he picked the girl with the inferiority complex. Fucking hell. All things considered, this was a great movie, would’ve given it a higher score if not for the ending. Honestly, I don’t like how they showed us Yotsuba’s backstory just to make us feel like she was the right choice. She had the least development out of all of them, and they were like “mhmm, this is satisfying.” I’m not gonna get into who was the “right choice,” but seriously Nino and Miku were the best by far, not even a competition, it should have been a no-brainer. |

| Honestly didn't expect it to just end, I'm guessing this will be the final installment of the series? I mean, Futarou basically chose someone in the end and had all that future bit play out. I wouldn't mind it ending off at here or continuing, so it's up to whatever happens. Well, it was a great movie nonetheless. |

After watching the first season this anime was in my favourites list. And after the second season i was eagerly waiting for this movie and now... I don't know what so say... I'm angry and feeling sad too... WTF man.. you guys (whoever wrote this story) ruined it. Why picked Yotsuba??? My first pick was "Itsuki" because everything started with her meeting Futaro. She knew futaro's financial condition and supported him from the start. And out of the five she's my favourite too. She is dumb but cute too, she takes care of all her sisters and follows her mother's footsteps. My second pick was "Miku" because she was madly in love with Futaro (from the start) and everyone knew that. She's introvert but ready to do anything for Futaro. She started taking interest in cooking because of Futaro. My third pick was "Nino" because she is "hard from outside but soft from inside" type of girl, if I'm not wrong she was the first who confessed her love to Futaro. At first she was the one who hated Futaro the most but slowly slowly her feelings changed and she fell deeply in love with Futaro just like Miku. I know my opinion doesn't matter here, but just look at storyline...do you see any love chemistry between Yotsuba and Futaro?? I know she was the one who met Futaro when they were kids..and bla bla.. so what?? Yotsuba was the least highlighted character from the start. To me she was nothing but a side character. If picking Yotsuba was already decided then you should have focused more on her character development instead of the other three mentioned above. |

| My eyes were away from the screen for like 1/3 of the movie, it returned to S1's attention span for me disguised with S2's animation. |

| and so, the story of gotoubun finally ends with Yotsuba winning, didn't expect her to come out on top despite me rooting for Yotsuba ever since she first appeared in the manga since i usually like strong personalities like her, a very athletic energetic airhead, it really shocked me when i found out early on through spoilers that she won, really didn't expect that, anyways, very nice adaptation, loved it. |
| goddamn i got way too into this series. i was watching the last few episodes of s2 during work today so i had time to watch the movie tonight. wasn't exactly the movie i had planned to watch on halloween night but oh well first thing i gotta say is that i was very grossed out by the biological dad , yuck what a scumbag that guy was. and like rena was this guy's STUDENT???? and he looks like he's like 30 years older than rena???? ewww now anyways, i don't really feel mad about the ending??? i don't know if i had a FAVOURITE favourite but i definitely liked miku a lot and was leaning towards her. i also started to really like nino a lot too. i could barely theorize who i thought would end up winning; at some point i thought we were gonna get a cop out ending. i did think it was gonna be itsuki though my reasoning is probably flawed: -she was the first one uesugi met at school -she recognized the childhood picture -she dressed up like rena -she didn't kiss him (my thought here was like why did the other 4 kiss him and she didn't,, they must have kissed at the bell then - that way everyone would have kissed uesugi once) mann i don't even think i SERIOUSLY thought of yotsuba winning. i guess she came up a couple times in my thoughts when i was trying to theorize but i fr didn't realize until right at that moment that uesugi chose her. kinda wish the other girls (miku and nino specifically - i kinda felt early on that ichika wouldn't win) weren't given so much screen time bc that threw me off and also really made me push yotsuba aside. it felt like itsuki wasn't even getting a lot of screen time so my brain was short circuiting trying to justify how she could end up winning. overall enjoyed watching this movie but i feel mostly indifferent about the series & characters as a whole |

| Damn it feels like forever since I've watched an anime, before watching this amazing movie I have not seen anime for a record-breaking 5 weeks. Anyway this movie is special in a different way!!! Emotionally, this movie is not the most touching one out of all the stuff I've seen, in a way the movie lands just above average for me. But the reason why it's special is that it embodies why the series is so great and as much as some people are still hurting because of Futaro's choice, I still admire that the creator of this series made every girl very special and in the end we are left a mess thanks to the roller coaster that this series brought. As much as I would like to make a long essay on what I feel about the movie, I feel not to...I'm older now and there are much more things ahead of me that I would like to do to better my chances. Yes this movie was special because in the end every one got what they wanted, everyone made their dreams possible are now better because of it...I still don't have that dream, and that's the reason why tears were shed at one point in the movie. I am grateful to watch this movie, not only does it make for a great ending to a fantastic series, but it also made me think of myself as well, as I continue my soul searching with the guide of anime and real life friends by my side. This movie gets a 9/10 for me, and like Futaro and ---, I'm glad they achieved their dreams and the ride that took them there was a special and entertaining indeed. |

| no hate to yotsuba but i felt unsatisfied with futaro's choice yes she was the first qunit to support him but after that there's close to nothing about her development as character honestly i was even ready to accept Itsuki at this point but cant help it we have to accept this ending and move forward to new anime |

| What an inspirational movie, absolutely loved it! I don't care about who won, this'll be one of the most memorable and beautiful anime weddings ever, despite the controversy. I get that the main premise of the story was the mystery of who will win, but I'm happy I was spoiled a while back. In this type of an anime, things get messy... in a good way... at least until the ending. Since I knew who'd win, I could focus the story and why Yotsuba won, rather than being sad since my favorites lost. Either ways, I love Yotsuba a lot more now. Her simplistic dream was beautiful and relatable. The story had a proper conclusion, many wholesome and romantic scenes that I can't count, and inspirational development showing how everyone grew as people. This is exactly what I want from a romance anime! --------------------------------------------- Despite my hate for the harem genre, Gotoubun nailed it. One girl wins, everyone gets development, the story properly ends, and we see the aftermath of their love. (I'd say Nino got the most development, going from annoying and self-centered to someone you cant help but absolutely love.) Every aspect of harems that I hate was avoided. We actually get wholesome romantic scenes instead of those annoying tsundere blushing and ecchi bait where the mc gets slapped, and the romance takes two steps backward. In most other harem animes, once one girl makes a move, the others gang up on the mc, hate him and prevent anyone else from doing anything. However here, all girls actively made brave approaches towards Futaro and confessed. They accepted that they were all rivals and did their best. All of them grew and developed amazingly. |
