| Really liking this so far. The voice acting and music background are spot on, with some good old nostalgic feelings for good measure. I need to pinch myself to make sure this isn't a dream. The only visual style/piece I didn't like at first was the more noticeable "highlighting" of the edges of everyone's hair and clothes, like they have their own personal background spotlight. It distracted me a bit though after two episodes, the striking visuals have mostly won me over. I think that re-watching the older episodes might have made some things more noticeable by comparison. Next week's episode won't get here fast enough! |

| Another great episode. Interesting that they seem to have cut Byakuya's eulogy at Sasakibe's funeral, but it might pop up later when we (hopefully) get a bit more of the back story. The silence was equally poignant in its own way though I also noticed that they changed the way Ryunosuke delivers the message from the phone. It was only a small line but I liked how, in the manga, it opened with something like 'I was ordered to return to SS for a funeral'. Doesn't really take anything away but was just something I picked up on. Can't wait for things to pick up from here on out, really looking forward to next week! |

| Surprisingly graphic. I always thought Quincies were the forgotten fodder that Kubo introduced for the exception of Uryu, I guess not. |

| Sasakibe actually died!! Damn RIP. Did not expect Bleach to ACTUALLY kill off a such a prominent character, side character as it may be. Also I never knew Bleach was this violent..the whole atmosphere in this season is so different. Wish the eps were longer :( |
| I was looking forward to t his. I am surprised no one has commented on the extreme change in the overall visual style. It is 1. Dark 2. Thin in all aspects 3. Superficial re characters like Orahime 4. Hyper fast It lacks the substance and overall impact of the original series. It uses the key characters as key points to hang the presentation on but makes them often parodies of themselves, again Orahime stands out. She has lost her dignity and her unique beauty and is now a shadow. I dont mind the enargment of some fatures but overall a sad portent of how they are interpresting the characters. I would say they took the original art and stretched it ...spreading out the overall shape and making the line art thin overall too. So the eventual result once you recover from the massive eruptions of the events is that they are rather detached and making clear that they are not dominated by the original and can do their own version with pride and courage. Well it remains to be seen for this is so far a shadow of the original and i would give it a 5 on a scale of 10. Too bad for I would have loved to welcome this fine series which I own in the original boxes 100 percent...for now I will watch with caution. I respect the author and am glad they were able to find a studio and a director brave enough to take on this ...but as i said, i tend to think they are thinking too much of trying to prove that THEY can continue the story just as well as the orignal but so far, that remains to be seen. Will wait to see. I will add a comment on the violence. I see from other posts that is a popular part of this, but to me, it is along with other things about this new approach, overdone. In the original there was plenty of fierce action and rough stuff but it was not glorified it was part of the story and the characters were not all about just that. This approach shows that the direction is focuses on making shock and over the top horror "normal" and that does not bode well for the series and for our culture that seems drifting in that way, normalizing what is beyond acceptance. I hope this does not continue and deepen but was an effort to make a splash with the entry of the new series. It shows a shallowness on the part of the Director which I hope may evolve as often directors and staff are affected and change over time from their own experience of bringing such as story to life. I have watched the original series as it was released from the start and watched the episodes many times since, and am glad i can return to them to be reassured by what I feel is the real nature of the story that so far this show is rather a parody of rather than a contnuance. As I said, we will see. Wow this is very high quality adaptation once again,  finally there are some anime original scene like when Halibel told Nel to run. Yhwach and the quincies under him look so intimidating here I love it ^.^ |

| OP is chill af, it'll probably grow on me later. I'm still trying to get used to the new animation, it's just so good than what I remember watching. I've always wanted to have Urahara's bucket hat before, but now not so much. It looked way cooler back then. The comedic scenes gives me one piece vibes, serious fights but still having some comedy. Maan I totally forgot what bleach's atmosphere was like. |

| Great episode. Amazing OP visuals and song!!!! I love it!!! Rest in peace Sasakibe fukutaichou!! Wow after a long years of him being at Soutaichou's side. ๐ข He even hasn't a much screen time in the last series or a dedicated episode of him. Though there are shorts like shinigami Zukan of him. Anyways Nel!!!!!!!!!! and also Pesche-kun, that fundoshi ๐คฃ๐คฃ!!!! Miss these two!! Aizen's aides?! ๐ Harriber's subordinates! The ED visuals is kinda nice too. Though not what I'm expecting. The song is nice too. Looking forward next week again. ๐๐ |

| Nice episode, though they skipped the part from the manga where byakuya was talking about sasakibe during the funeral. In my opinion, that part had a big degree of importance because it gives us more background info regarding sasakibe, especially his achievement of attaining bankai even before kyoraku and ukitake, and that he was not to be taken lightly. Unfortunately in this episode, sasakibe was kind of undermined. Will continue to watch future episodes but won't expect much. Also nice OP and ED (though the ED is better than OP). |
