Kayaharuka has sadly passed away due to pancreatic cancer, and the manga is now on hold.

To only found about this recently and hearing this news now was honestly unexpected. I wish the best for Kayaharuka's family and hope they are able to recover from this tragedy.

That's heartbreaking. And just a few days after they announced the cancellation of the manga. Condolences to her family and may she rest in peace.

Maou Gakuin's source is the light novel/web novel, so this isn't going to affect the anime.

Real sad. The og has informed the author illness on my forum and trully sad because of the cancellation of the manga adaptation and now I got information about her passed awad. Rest in piece for the author, she did very good to fully adapt all of those unimagineable amount of work from the novel version and hope all the best for the entire manga adaptation.

I'm really in shock
I haven't even had a chance to read this manga yet.
It's sad to hear this news just when I had the chance to read this manga.
I guess the manga won't continue but i will add it to my manga list anyway.
Rest in peace Kayaharuka...

I'm reading the manga adaptation, and I'm enjoying it (and the art is great), it's sad that we won't get any more volumes of this...
Rest in peace Kayaharuka.
