Dillon Brooks deserves my damn respect despite a poor shooting night.

Ja Morant stepped-up big time!!!

The Grizzlies should have switch & iso on Curry more often in OT to foul him out.

But anyways, they win. Job well done!!!

The Warriors had some chances but well deserved win by the Grizzlies.

My First Round Predictions - West:

Jazz/Grizzlies - Jazz in 5

Suns/Lakers - Lakers in 6

Nuggets/Blazers - Nuggets in 5

Clippers/Mavericks - I honestly don't even care. Clippers in 5 I guess if they want it this time.

Should be war in the West.

Crazy ass game! The West play-in games were pretty entertaining and may have produced two of the most entertaining games this season. East ones certainly could've been better, to say the least. Anyway, should be a pretty exciting playoffs with how open it seems this year!

Especially excited for the playoffs this season since I'm a Jazz fan. Been something like two decades since the team has had home court advantage, lmao.

Jazz vs Grizzlies, Broom for the Jazz

Suns vs Lakers, Lakers in 6

Trailblazers vs Nuggets, Nuggets in 6

Clippers vs Mavs, Clippers in 6<<<i really hope the Mavs win this one though.

76ers vs Wizards, Sixers in 6

Nets vs Celtics, Nets in 5 or 6<<<It really depends if Jaylen Brown plays, he can probably prolong this series, not enuff to win the series though.

Bucks vs Heat, Bucks in 6<<<i think Jrue Holiday will make a big difference compared to Bledsoe last year.

Hawks vs Knicks, Knicks in 6

First Round Predictions:

76ers/Wizards - 76ers easy.

Nets/Celtics - Nets in 4.

Bucks/Heat - Bucks in 6. Heat are not surprising anyone this time and I like Jrue on Jimmy.

Knicks/Hawks - Close series that could go either way. Hawks in 6 or 7.

Jazz/Grizzlies - Jazz easy.

Suns/Lakers - With Lebron not 100%, I'll take the Suns in 7. People are going to know Mikal and Cam after this series.

Nuggets/Blazers - Could go either way. Maybe the Blazers in 7.

Clippers/Mavericks - Clips easy.

I can see the Knicks giving the Bucks a tough time, Bucks probably win from experience but I've always thought of them as more pretenders than contenders.

Knicks face Atlanta in the first round, not the Bucks.

And if by any chance you're IMPLYING the Knicks will definitely beat Atlanta and the Bucks will definitely beat the Heat.

I'd be cautious....because Playoff Miami is a different animal....we saw that last year, and I think there is still a chance we see that this year.

I'm not saying they're gonna get to the Finals, because I don't necessarily think that....but the Bucks did NOT get all that better from last year either.

As for the Knicks vs. Atlanta....could go either way.

Yeah either I misread it or I checked when the Knicks were 6th. Well Heat sure are as they went toe to toe with the Bucks. I do think Knicks beat the Hawks.

2 words on the Mavs vs Clippers.
3 & Luka.

& nothing to say much on the Nets.
We know theyre gonna win against the Celtics.

& Nuggets, i really dunno y they didnt double Dame in the halfcourt.
Once he is hot, its over.
& Melo reminds us once again that he owns the Nuggets.

If atleast one of the 1 or 2 seeds lose, NBA gotta keep the play-in. Almost never see 7 beat a 2 or 8 beat a 1 before, but now with the 7 or 8 seed getting some playoff wins and momentum from the play-in, they might actually stand a chance against the top seeds. Already seen one upset in game 1

Feels bad.

After such an exciting game 1 that we absolutely SHOULD'VE WON....the Heat getting destroyed in game 2.

This honestly could be the series right here.

IF we go out in round 1....no doubt in my mind we gotta make HUGE changes.

I hate to be wrong, but it appears we were DEAD WRONG about not getting Harden when we had the chance.

And the thing was, we could've had him, but the Rockets wanted Herro, and we absolutely did NOT want to trade Herro.

Looking back....we probably should've done it, Herro has had a very BAD 2nd season and Harden surprisingly still got it.

I'm not saying it's Over, but this looks REALLY bad.

I mean, he looked really out of shape at the beginning of the year.

Then there's the issue that he has a huge ego and puts up crazy numbers, but mostly because he shoots so much and goes to the free throw like a lot.

Back then, the Rockets wanted Herro, and this was in the aftermath of Herro's amazing breakout in the 2020 playoffs that really helped us get to the Finals.

So on one hand, we had the chance to pick up a BIG All star capable of putting up HUGE numbers....

On the other hand, we would have to give up a Rising Star who is still in his early 20s who many people still think has a shot at an All Star career.

Ultimately it was too big of a risk for the Heat, and that's why we decided not to trade for him.

The thing is.....Butler is very clearly in his prime right now...so if we want to win a title, you probably have to gamble a little and go big in order to try to win NOW as opposed to win later.

Overall, it wasn't an easy choice....but it appears this just isn't our year.

As a Heat fan, I'm hoping we can land something in the Off season because the Butler and Bam core is still strong and they give us a chance to compete in the East....we just need ONE big acquisition and we can be contenders.

Harden was out of shape at the beginning of the season, yea. It's unprofessional but it happens.

The Heat should of definitely traded Herro if it meant getting Harden. I think that's a no brainer. Herro doesn't play scared but I don't think he has a high ceiling.

Like you said, Butler in his prime right now. The Heat could of had Harden for the numbers with Butler holding things down. A Butler Bam Harden trio would of made the Heat a serious threat. Then again Harden's ego could of been a problem. That's really not much of a gamble tho.

I think Crowder was a big lost for them too.

Still rooting for the Heat to make a push this year but yea, maybe next season.

Lillard could use a change of scenery.

I 100% agree about Crowder....that was a big loss, I still don't understand why we didn't sign him but we kept old man Iguodala and Myers who turned out to be a Nazi (lol).

I think Kawhi might be on the market this off season believe it or not.

He has a Player option and since I DO NOT believe the Clippers are winning anything this year.....I see no reason why he should sign with them again.

MAYBE the Heat go after him....I think I read the Heat will have a decent amount of Cap space.

And if needed they can make room by making a few trades.

I don't think Lillard is going anywhere....but he is NEVER winning in Portland...Portland just isn't an attractive NBA market, no one wants to play in Portland.

Plus the dude is banking so much money it's not like the Blazers can really afford much.

I don't want to sound too pessimistic, the series is NOT over and the Heat have done crazier things....but if we go one and done, I do believe they gotta go HARD on a "WIN NOW" mentality.

Heat are now regretting not trading for Harden at this point that i cant help but get disappointed eventhough i think the Bucks will beat them.

I was frustrated by the Nuggets not doubling Dame in the Half-court in the 1st game.
Now in the 2nd game still they dont & instead put AG against him in the 2nd half in which somehow, it worked.

But still Dame & CJ had a good game, but everybody else besides Powell in their team, nah!!!
+ the gameplan of letting Jokic score & not everyone else backfired poorly for them.

Bucks-Heat series is over. The only reason game 1 was close was because the Heat shot 40% from 3 and the Bucks shot 16%.

What the Heat did in the bubble was a one time thing and it was unsustainable. For those wondering how they got past the Bucks last year and if they could do it again: Bam shot 60% from the field, Butler 45% from 3, Herro 42% from 3, Crowder 43% from 3, Olynyk 45% from 3, and their two best shooters, Robinson and Dragic shot the worst at 35% from 3.

Crowder who not only shot well from 3 last year but also did a great job guarding Giannis, and Olynk who did a good job spacing the floor are all gone now. Robinson and Dragic are the only thing sustainable from last year. Ariza just doesn't have the strength to stop Giannis and Duncan on Khris is bbq chicken. The addition of Jrue was a huge upgrade for the Bucks.

Heat never had a chance to get Harden even if they included Herro. Your package would've been Robinson who is expiring, Nunn, one first (only thing you have available), and Herro. That's basically a Herro for Harden straight up swap lol. Rockets would've never done that in a million years.

Your only realistic chance was Herro for Lowry during the trade deadline.

Crowder was a perfect fit for the Heat, too smh.

After last season I just don't care what happens with Kawhi lol.

I agree about Lillard. I think he stays in Portland, too.

He needs to be on a team that has a legitimate shot at a Championship. He was literally shooting 8/11 from 3 at some point in Game 2 and his team was still down double digits. Portland has relied on Lillard playing hero ball for far too long.

NBA teams put too much stock on potential and are always selling hope. I think the best approach is to always have a win now mentality.

Miami should of tried to build on last season even if it meant getting players on expiring contracts. They could of positioned themselves to make another run without losing their cap space for next season. Oh well.

As a Heat fan....it appears a sweep is imminent and this is as far as we go.

Truth be told, I would've been shocked if we somehow beat the Bucks this year.

It just wasn't in us....the whole 2020-21 Season was a roller coaster of ups and downs, we were NEVER consistent.

Herro had an AWFUL 2nd year, we sorely lacked that X factor play from Crowder, and aside from Butler, everyone played very lackadaisical.

What do I want this off season? To make a BIG trade or FA acquisition.

The Heat gotta have a WIN NOW mentality....you got Butler in his prime a rising defensive star in Bam....you need one more piece.

Could Kawhi be that piece? I sincerely HOPE so....because the Clips are NOT getting past the first round and I see absolutely NO reason why he won't Opt OUT!

As for the rest of the Playoff games today...

Man, the Suns have ZERO luck....they waited OVER 10 years to get to the Playoffs and they had an AMAZING season only to then have Paul get injured on the first game and have to play the Lakers.

IMO, the series was over at that point....even with them winning that game, I KNEW that injury was going to affect him.

I don't see them coming back.

The Nuggets had a big win today, but that series could go either way....but neither team looks good enough to beat the Lakers, so let's just say the Lakers are getting to the WCF already....and trust me I DON'T like the fact I'm saying that.

In the East....who would've thought the Knicks vs. Hawks would be the most entertaining series so far....because everything else is garbage and gonna be 3 sweeps.

I hate to say this but....these playoffs are REALLY BAD so far...and I'm not saying that because my team is basically out already.

It's because despite the fact that it IS an open field....we have very little competition going on so far.

I mean, maybe I'm wrong....I HOPE I'm wrong, but that's what it looks like to me so far.

Butler and the Heat didn't show the same heart and focus that they showed in last years' playoffs but I can't really say I blame them.

Butler had to average a 35+ triple double just to snag two wins from the Lakers. And how does the Heat acknowledge the success that they had last year? By making the team worst.

I root for teams that compete so I was still rooting for the Heat and due to a lack of consistency I certainly overlooked the Bucks but yea, Butler is one of the top competitors in the NBA. He has proven that many times. He deserves to be on a team that has a legit shot.

Why the hell would we go after Lowry who is like 40 fucking years old....that would be insanely dumb.

If I hear the Heat are going after Lowry, that means we can't get anyone better, and that's a BAD sign.

My eyes are SET on Kawhi....it's just that simple.

I still believe the Mavs will beat the Clippers, and even if they don't they'll probably lose in the next round....they are CLEARLY not a team that can win it all.

And I don't think Kawhi will re-sign for another 2 years with a team that can't even get out of the first round in an absolutely LOADED Western Conference.

The better move is to come to the East where the path to the finals is a lot easier.

And Miami is still a GREAT NBA Market....that's why we've been able to sign so many BIG names within Pat's tenure with the team.

The biggest problem was that the Heat believed VERY strongly that Herro and Duncan were on the precipice of becoming LEGIT All stars....especially Herro.

We were under the assumption that Duncan could literally make 5+ threes every single game and Herro was gonna start averaging 20 points or something.

Neither of that happened.

In fact Herro had a HORRIBLE second season....the worse part is that we could've used his rising potential as a great bargaining chip to get much better players....but we didn't.

When the trading deadline was over, even Reily said the reason why he didn't trade Herro or Duncan was because he believed in both of them and didn't want to risk the future of the team.

Now....I believe he'll probably pull the trigger if he can get a trade he likes.

I expect this Heat team to look VERY DIFFERENT next season....because you don't get to the NBA Finals one year and later swept in the first round the next year without acknowledging that you did something very wrong.

=================================================

As for the games so far today.

I was about to say "The Knicks are finished, the Hawks got this....then I remembered, OH SHIT, that's an Atlanta team....and well, if you follow American Sports....you already KNOW what Atlanta is infamous for doing whenever they go ahead"

The Suns had a HUGE win today that honestly makes me believe that they could still win this series, but they MUST win game 5 no ifs, ands, or buts!
