It was a decent episode, I loled a few times.
Never watched Kiddy Grade so I don't know if I'll continue watching this...

Oh god, this was crap. Kiddy Grade's first episode was ten times better than this, and it sucked. I'm hoping like all hell that this series gets better like KG did...

And they killed Eclair and Lumiere? Fuckers!

But yea. I finally watched this first eps... I cannot help but feel a bit disappointed. Also, to see the Kadokawa label attached to this series, I'm not going to give it much hope. Regardless, I'll make it a point to compete watching this one in the hope of some kind of improvement.

Ascour could never be Eclair, just like Q-Feulle couldn't be Lumiere. In the first series when Eclipse gave them new bodies they still looked almost identical (although it was stated in the last episode that Eclair had bigger boobs and thus she had to say she had a boob job). I'm guessing if they are the same characters (but they won't be cos they have different voice actors, Ascours is pure hatred), that they've had their minds wiped again -_-

As I said, I really don't think the originals are the mains for this series, which sucks. But the moment I saw Trixie and Troyes Jeanne, I said "HOLY FUCK IT'S ECLAIR AND LUMIERE!" Seriously, go back to the original series and look around the latter third. I'm pretty sure we get to see what Eclair and Lumiere looked like before they were given new bodies by Eclipse and had their memories erased (Eclair went back to being 16 I think, and Lumiere was younger). I'm damn sure the girls originally looked just like that.

Now, onto my feelings on certain points.

Does anyone else remember Kiddy Grade's opening? It was really good. And it translated over to the English dub really well (they dubbed the OP, and they did it well, only case I've ever seen of that). This new one won't do that no matter how hard they try, and it's completely childish in tone. I really don't like it. Others thoughts?

What the hell is with this fanservicey feel to the series? Kiddy Grade had maybe two, three tops, moments of fanservice. The only ones I can recall being when they added a sound effect to Eclairs boobs bouncing. What the fuck?

Ok, so I want others opinions on my thoughts. Go.

Thank god, I thought they where ES members and I thought since when did they sink so low to let people like that become ES members. This was a letdown of a episode to start the show. Kiddy Grade was great and this just seems way to light and silly to be apart of that. Give us Eclair back, because this girl sucks.

this was a huge letdown.

Kiddy Grade was the anime that transformed me into an anime otaku. this anime is not even half as good (no, make it a quarter) as it's predecessor.

I'm sooooooooooooooooo disapointed.
I hope this anime improves.

Two animal rights protesters were protesting at the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn. Suddenly the pigs, all two thousand of them, escaped through a broken fence and stampeded, trampling the two hapless protesters to death. And they didn't even thank them, how rude!

First episode was okay I guess. There wasn't much ecchi (dat "black panties") and the humor was okay. Not the best, singled out unique episode though.

been ages since i got to this series after only recently found out there’s a sequel, nice to see a few familiar faces. totally thought Q-feuille was Eclair at first

also Ascoeur is annoying as hell and judging by the folks from over decade ago, im glad im not the only one.
edit: ahh her VA is Kotori from Love Live, no wonder shes irritating
