| Out of the popular websites like reddit, /a/, and MAL, I'd say that MAL forums are the best currently. I really miss the OPTs on /a/ though... I started reading a lot more manga recently and there are so many single pages I could contribute |

| I tried to go there recently too, the place was inundated with mediocre fanart of the same few series. Then I went to /a/ and it was inundated with shitpost blogs about the same few series. It's like MAL has rules to bar these things from the main board for a reason. |

Problem is people do not like to see comments that don't make them feel good and some immature members of any community will try to assert their opinions as fact even when their stance is clearly unsupported by evidence whereas the other side may have a point. Still, I do agree here is probably less treacherous than reddit. I cannot particularly call the downvoting and upvoting functions healthy in a discussion as seeing a similar opinion to your own downvoted can cause reluctance on your part to voice your own opinion. |
