| Unless Ponycan USA can get off their ass, we will probably not get to see these films until 2019. They said that they will show the first Hibike recap movie in US theaters last year, and that never happened. Doubt so here. Naoko Yamada will be directing the Nozomi + Mizore film. Ishihara will be directing this film (who is also directing the Chunibyo sequel film). Takeda-sensei is writing more novels on Kumiko's second year, so I wonder how KyoAni will change some of the details. The anime has deviated from the novel in terms on how Kumiko ended up with. So, I'm excited, but I don't expect to see this film for another 2 years. |

I think they were just trying to be suggestive and won't go the romance route. And even if they did, it won't be overblown to a proportion that it became the drive of the story. Hibike! Euphonium is such an amazing story because of how it represents friendship. While I am writing this, I am recalling my friend who hugged and became all teary while sending me off just last week. We became friends only very recently (for about a year and a half that we got to know each other, my dear friend got into anime, started following football, and amazingly enough, gave up smoking, all the while claiming I was the reason for all of them). When I saw Kumiko crying when Asuka graduated, I thought the emotion was probably a bit too much, but seeing the same thing happening to me IRL, it made me realize all over again that friendship can really be that strong. :) |

No, you didn't need to do that! <3 I am actually looking forward to this much more than anything else next year. I know there's Violet Evergarden to look forward to but I mean Kumiko is my baby and I cannot wait to see her again! I am curious to see what Takeda has in her to keep this interesting. I think KyoAni did amazingly well while bringing out the potential of the story. I think it's gonna be great. Since I read the fourth volume, I have been looking forward to the second season but in the end you-know-what never happened and we got to see it being deliberately deviated from you-know-what. But that little smile on her face while she held it would go a long way, I think. At least in the novel we know that Kumiko had always liked Shuichi. While it's something I look forward to, what I really, really look forward to the most is Kumiko and everyone having kouhai this time around. I doubt any more male cast would be added. But I think we can expect two or three more female casts being injected into the story. For we know Asuka wanted Kumiko to play "Hibike! Euphonium" for those who will join the club in the future. And of course, the most important thing is how they are going to handle with so many talented third years leaving. In that aspect, I think if new students are to be included, they will at least have someone at the same level as those who left, if not better. Given how the new second and the third years would be, after tasting what it means to be in the Nationals, and of course, performing and achieving two golds in three finals, I have a feeling they will go all the way in their next attempt. What are your expectations? Anything you want to speculate? |

| What I want to see in this flim...... - I want to see how good are new 1st year members. - I want to see how will Yuuko and Natsuki act as President and Vice-president of the band. What will they plan to make the band succeed this year? - Will Taki-sensei leave this year? - How will senpai-kouhai relationship between Yuuko and Reina progress? Audition! - Will Natsuki manage to get into the A-team this year? What if new Eupho player (kouhai) happen to be untouchable Asuka-tier player and Natsuki only hope to get into A-team is to beat Kumiko. |

New characters are introduced in the story! Five girls and one boy (all first years)! Hisaishi Kanade (Euphonium) - Clingy type, soft and fluffy, loves gathering information, loves taking selfies and loves her senpai (Kumiko)!? Suzuki Mirei (Tuba) - Tall, tomboyish, and serious type, loves seinen manga and going to karaoke, hates herself Suzuki Satsuki (Tuba) - Jolly and energetic type, loves dogs and loves looking up interesting things, hates cup ramen and loves her mom's curry rice Kohinata Yume (Trumpet) - Reserved and shy type, loves writing poems, has weakness towards cute stationary items and cherishes her trumpet Kenzaki Ririka (Oboe) - Loves to tease others and good at making friends, however, secretive when it comes to matters concerning herself Tsukinaga Motomu (Contrabass) - Serious type, hates being called cute (since he is a boy), fond of his elder sister, hates his grandfather, keen about astronomy and celestial observation Whether the two Suzukis are related or not is not confirmed. There character designs are completely different, so is their birthdays so they are definitely not sisters. I think the only things common between them are their surnames and the fact that they both play Tuba! Hazuki's got to improve before the two new first years push her back the pecking order! Yume's personality is completely opposite of both Reina and Kaori-senpai. I am interested to see what she will bring in the story. The fact that her character description says that she loves trumpets interests me the most. The fact that she loathes herself and hates being standing out makes me think she is really a very reserved character. Motomu, the only male character introduced so far in the new lineup of characters. Seeing him listed there makes me think he will have some role to play in the story otherwise why would they bother to highlight his character. Also, Reina better watch out for Kanade! She already took the cover illustration of the new novel! |

| well the disappearance of haruhi was 2 hours 40 minutes, so kyoani are capable of making long films. not to mention that the release for this was pushed from the end of this year to april next year, so hopefully that means they're really working hard on this. |

| It's funny actually how two of the supposed "main characters" of the show (Tuba girl and Sapphire) almost got no screen time at season 2 and now they didn't even appear anymore in any key visual to the upcoming movie, including Reina. At least not in any relevant key visual as far as I know. And yes, I am hyped. KyoAni in movie version tends to be supeior to the tv series quite a lot of times. |

| As an anime-only watcher for this series: Kumiko x Shuuichi is not a bad pairing. I just wish they give him a more pronounced presence and character development. Like Reina said in season two, she implied he has NO backbone. He's always beating around the bush. But even without the romance, he is still her friend. If this anime and the following claims the whole concept is based around friendship, they shouldn't keep him excluded when there is an obvious rift between Kumiko and Shuuichi. Even if there isn't gonna be straight up romance, I want them to solve that rift. This anime only reaffirms the fact females and males CANNOT be friends because its always romance or sex involved and nothing else. IF this anime is based on friendship as followers have always have claimed, why don't we see boy x girl friendships and the support for it. Kumiko's blushy around Shuuichi. Shuuichi likes Kumiko. Hazuki crushes on Shuuichi even when she said she'd be friends with him instead. Reina crushes on Taki-sensei. All the girls drool over Taki-sensei. There's that couple in the brass section. It's utter BS that there isn't any of that only until now(?). |

| I am a bit curious as to what will happen in this movie. I sincerely hope they are only going to push Shuuichi and Kumiko's relationship as a friendship, and not a romance. I honestly don't think Shuuichi is a bad guy at all, just that his character is quite lacking and as well as his relationship with Kumiko. If they just make it so that they show us Kumiko and Shuuichi are indeed friends, I wouldn't mind it at all. But if they try to shoehorn a romance, I'm going to be quite frustrated with kyoani. In any case, we'll see what will happen with this movie when it releases in theaters and the Japanese side of fandom react to it. I'll keep up with twitter and hope for the best.
