I just had a thought at the end of the episode: do you think he's going to shoot his own brother? That would be a fucking climatic ending!

I can't stop wondering what exactly makes saving children on Ryvius and capturing or sinking it mutually exclusive tasks. I would guess acting as a rescue mission leads to win/win outcome here and that it's pretty obvious thing to do too.

Edit: Oh, so they want neither capture nor sink the ship but just to put ship/crew through trials in hope of "true awakening"? Nor do they care who is really on that ship as long as they are human? Hmmm...

A classic information dump chapter, but I actually don't get why first they were trying to blow up the Ryvius and now they want to capture it? If they knew all along were it was why just not take everyone of Liebe Delta and then haul it somewhere else to experiment?

Ikumi and Youki are one and the same now. Despite his shortcomings and annoying personality I prefer Kouji to them and I hope he gets to the end of the series in a better situation than them.

That dude with the dog kind of pissed me off . . . He assumed they all went insane? That they somehow were still the ones in the wrong? Did he forget that it was they who struck first with the intent to kill, and have basically been on the defensive ASKING TO BE SAVED for the last x number of months?

They actually are just throwing ships at it to make it ''evolve'' to be strong enough to resist the 2nd geodule thingy. The children were just unlucky to be the ones to activate it. They don't want to lose this chance even if it means killing children. But it is confusing has there seems to be multiple layers of governement officials all lying to each others.

And yea Kouji is the better of the bunch imo. Wonder when he'll use his gun.

Half episode recap. Half episode infodump. So it's been six months already? How long were the food supplies supposed to last again? And it's not like they've been frugal so far. Looks like Kouji finally realized Yuki and Izuma have a point, not that they're totally right of course.

I get the mission of the Ryvius but don't get why they won't rescue the kids? It makes no sense.

This...this was actually a really bad episode. Like, really, really bad. This whole anime has been playing up the Ryvius as the metaphor for human civilization, and how attempts at trying to create a peaceful civilization would end in tragedy due to conflicting interests, personal desires, mob mentality and the want to protect something also being the same urge that can lend to indiscriminate destruction. It's a situation that can lead to a lot of interesting debates regarding human nature, as per the parallels drawn between Infinite Ryvius and Lord of the Flies. However, according to this episode, just by being near the Vaia that is Ryvius, it's a possibility that everyone on board, or at least those that came into contact with Neeya, were driven mad by magical science.

Up to this point, I assumed all the other Vaias were incomplete or corrupted, causing their respective crews to go mad as a result. However, if even Ryvius can cause people to lose their minds, then that undermines everything that the show has tried to establish. It isn't human nature that caused the Ryvius crew to crazy, it was magical science. At least, that's the possibility thrown out by the show itself, to which I heavily, heavily disapprove of. Hopefully I'm proven wrong, but for now, I'll leave my reservations here.

Damn clip show episode again. This time it is even worse because it did exactly what I was praising others for not doing. Stalling. We ended up exactly where begun.

There where something new also. Neeya was having a moment and there insight into players form outside Ryvius. But it felt inconsequential.

If what you're saying is confirmed later on, I'm gonna throw my laptop. Especially after the previous episode which was so damn amazing. It can't be magic! NO!

That would make Clannad After Story's BS ending look like peanuts.

So the entire plan was based on... Nothing?

They wanted Ryvius to "truly awaken"

In order to awaken said ship, they threw more ships at them

But in order to throw ships at them, Ryvius needed a crew to run her

And said crew wasn't even guaranteed to start up Ryvius in the first place because no one had the intention to even find Ryvius at the beginning.

This is as bad a plan as Black Clover's 5 leaf book hedging all its bets on its owner being strong enough to life a heavy ass piece of metal.

Like what was your grand plan if the Ryvius got destroyed along with the training station (Or in BC's case, what was the plan if Asta never worked out)???

This is the third semi-recap episode that they've used. One is acceptable, two is not and three means these guys should be fired.

It'll be lame if the reason everyone went insane was put down to the influence of the Vaia. Personally, I don't think it is, mostly because the Vaia they've fought until now were weird spiky creatures but Neya and the new Vaia are human-ish.

But they were wrong. She was just getting used to feeling good. She never understood. They finally understand. I will be pissed if she dies. She was merely an observer. She watched everything but never understood. Ever since she first felt that first brutal something. All manners of colors would dance with her and then quickly vanish. The variety of colors, of all types. She knows the meaning of these colors now. She has learned all of the emotions. She felt the feelings of many. Everything has been been felt by the people aboard their ship on this journey. She now exists as all of them combined. She breaks them all down. But when you break it all down. They do not want to die. They want to keep living. Nothing more nor less than that. Food of emotion unlock new powers. More recap. Friends that would not respond no matter how they were called out to. All they did was throw shades of anger. She wants to keep laughing she does not want to be sad. She feels love within her. She loves him. Why is she alone? She shows up. Don’t be ridiculous. Too much power leads to irrational acts. Too much is still unknown about the via. There has been an increase in the frequency of neutrino bursts.
He realizes what he is doing is among the worst things a person can ever do. He believes this is the only way to save the future. They can’t let their compassion take away their hope. He doesn’t care if he is vilified until the end of time. Lookson is really helping this kid. I hope he gets the girl and over his ego.
he must fulfill his responsibility as an tadult, even though he does not know their names. He live to finish the Ryvius. He has someone to protect. He is starting to think they are right. It’s almost as if the ship is sucking away his feelings. Is it wrong for him to think this way on this ship? See it coming. How Does he still have that? How does he still have that. I thought his brother was supposed to have that. His jacket was folded. How did he get the gun back? It is more interesting with him having it though, so I’m not mad about it. 5

A nothing burger and boring episode. The prime minister or whatever's reasoning makes no sense when they were actively trying to destroy Ryvius at the beginning. This is one big mess this series.
