| I mean if its an anime made in the early 00s and earlier I dont see the problem but quality has improved greatly so I dont see the reason to watch a show in low quality unless its something along the lines of your situation. |
| I'll stream in HD if my internet and/or the video player is stable. 480p is more of a last resort. Obviously, 480p is fine if the anime was originally formatted that way. I still use DVDs for some anime though. I refuse to upgrade to Blu-Ray. |

| Lol ... back in my days... 11 years ago, when I started watching, 240p was high-quality XD I watched plenty of anime in 144p and 240p, it was so bad, that I couldn't watch them in fullscreen, I would watch them in windows mode, and I think I did that for the first 4-5 years, even after +360p become more common, simply because I was not used watching fullscreen XD There were some HD too back then, some on Veoh, and some short-lived sources like Vreel (I think) (that I also could and would watch fullscreen), but those were meet with lots of bad luck in from my side (shortly after I discovered Veoh, it got banned in my country; then I discovered Crunchyroll which was awsome and many times HD, but after few anime they deleted their whol library and got legal, Vrill never got from the Beta stage, and after it amassed few anime, it got closed; there was Megavideo tough, really awsome, lot's of anime, and hentai, at decent quality, but even that got closed in 2012; by that time tough, the Youtube era started and I could enjoy 360-480p anime there, in 3 parts tough XD)... I survived those times because there was no alternative, but now when we have 4K and 8K and maybe even bigger K of which I never heard of, I don't think is too much to ask for 720p... I watch 480p if the internet is slow or there is no alternative, but only as a compromise. |

| 480p is obsolete while higher definition choices are available. Deliberately choosing a lower resolution when other higher counterparts are equally available has no benefit. Rather the choice elicits a negative consequence instead in the guise of a less pleasurable viewing. |

| I don't mind watching anime at 480p. My internet isn't the best sometimes and it's not un-watchable at 480p. Wouldn't go any lower than that though. |
| Well some series looks really bad in 480p but others are just available in 480p i can stand it. |
