| Is it intentional that they are trying to make the main characters look like the antagonists? Seriously, those soldiers said they'd accept you as asylum seekers and evidently were trying to avoid violence if possible and you kill them? Lol that's honestly just retarded. |

| Things are getting more interesting now. Ikta is showing why he will be such a great soldier, but the setting of a forced soldier that is amazingly clever is interesting, and I'm really curious to see the moral consequences of Ikto of the princess' choice. I genuinely felt bad for him, because he didn't want any of that, especially after what happened to his father. He also had a really rough childhood, which made the fact that he won't have the adulthood he wanted even worse. I'm wondering about how Ikto and Yatorishino met, because they really know each other really well. Maybe they'll be the romantic pair of the anime? Although the princess has some feelings for Ikto, but I doubt that the anime will do anything about that (or at least I hope not, since she's like 11). Was watching the anime, and did the math, and thought "for what Ikto said, they must be around 18, but I just know they'll be 17, because anime" and saw the profile of the Ikto, and there it was, he was 17. Anime really loves to make their protagonist a teen xD But it's acceptable that they are young, since it seems that they have been at war for long, so it's only natural they start sending soldiers that are younger and younger. With that rant made, this episode showed me that this anime might actually have a lot to offer. I'm still not a big fan of the artstyle for this anime, but well, I guess I'll get used to it. Excited to see how Ikto and Yatorishino will do from now on, since they now have obligations to the country, and need to go to war. I just hope in the next 11 episodes no one dies in the war. Considering this is adapted from a light novel and seems it wasn't finished, I expect that we won't catch any death this season, and I sure hope that's the case! Once again, surprised by this anime, in a positive note! Edit: I was also surprised to see that the Empire actually seems like they are the bad ones, since they are most likely an oppressive regimem, while the Republic is helping those who ask for help from the Empire. Seeing how Ikto was remorseful of killing those 3 soldiers, I wonder if they'll ever turn against the Empire, or try something to change the leadership. It's interesting to see the perspective from the "bad guys" in this anime. |
