| NO SPOILERS PLEASE! Loved the show, really entertaining and felt very different from other anime, had the harem was there but it didn't take over the show and was done right and that's a nice plus! Couldn't stop watching it and now i'm sad its done though it didn't feel like the end so....will there be a season 3? How much have they adapted from the light novel? |

Common misconception is that there are two seasons of gate however they just split the first in two parts |

| It's possible for a 3rd season no doubt, considering the manga is still going. It all depends on whether it will be made though, the 2nd season finale doesn't really suggest it will. |

I wouldn't say it was boring but the whole dad thing with the elf was a little annoying and most of the season woz just focused on her in a way with other things going on. Season 1 had more coz of the introductions between characters and learning about the new world. Season 2 from what I remember was just focused on the internal war between the royalty folk and the elf girl. Maybe that's why you were bored. |

| How much source material is left? I remember I read somewhere they already animated a lot. With a 3rd season it would fully be animated? Or is there a lot more source left? (Or not enough source for a full 3rd season - then maybe some OVA or a movie would be nice.) I'd really love to see a 3rd season. Those game anime where people get trapped in a fantasy-like game world: They are okay. But anime where people get trapped in a fantasy world for real are better. And this one is even more better because they aren't trapped and there is interaction between the worlds (some chars traveling from one world to the other). I like that most. Not many other anime like this come to my mind. (I could only think of Outbreak Company which I watched and which is already recommended by others but that wasn't as good as GATE.) Hopefully they'll give us more of GATE. (Or maybe some time the novel will get translated. Either by fans or officially - I'd read it. Or some manga based on the novel if continues with the plot that happens after the anime ended) |
