One Punch Man selling pretty similar to Haikyuu is awesome, it's good it's selling more but probably won't overtake it considering how small the margin is. No surprises for top 3, that cover is pretty ew for Tokyo Ghoul considering Ishida usually does bad ass covers. The next one should be sick though. And Orange is kicking ass, time to check it out.

Most of the tg volumes were in top 500. I guess that the edge made people buy some more.

Here are the 2015 Oricon Overall Series Sales in yen. Shingeki no Kyojin got 1st for the 2nd year in a row. Live-action boosted it a bit and the special editions (Not sure if counted) cost more than the limited editions so that probably helped it.

It didn't have an anime last year either and it was first then too.

Shouldn't that be from the manga considering no anime volumes were released during that time frame?
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Yes, should be manga. I misred the Oricon Youtaiju chart for One Punch Man, sorry about that.

Live-action boosted it a bit and the special editions (Not sure if counted) cost more than the limited editions so that probably helped it.

The thing is, SNK sold 8.6 million copies this year, OP sold 14 million. That's quite a big difference that cannot be attributed to the LEs only I think, especially when both their sales and price have been halved this year (which means that they only brought in 25 to 35% of what they did last year). Then you have the fact that OP sells a couple of thousands of regular DVD & Blu ray discs every month together with a dozen of thousands of log collection discs every season.

@Ejc Does Oricon include sales from the discs and cds/albums of the live action movie? That might explain everything. Wait, have the live action AoT movies been made available for Home video? I know the OST has been released already but not sure about the blu rays/DVD.

Otoyomegatari seriously needs an anime adaptation. Then manga volume sales can boost up to 550k-600k zone.
Terraformars and Seraph in the top 30 top sellers is ironic.

The ranking is labelled as "Comprehensive Series TOP30". The live action movie BDs/DVDs will be released on February 17, 2016 and March 23, 2016, so that's not an issue at all. Also, the OST for the Shingeki no Kyojin live action movie, did not sell that much.

For the music related to the live action movie, they are definitely included in the series ranking as the Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda. Anime Movie ranked highly in the weekly series ranking when the Nogizaka46 single was released. However, music CD sales are less significant as BD/DVD in terms of gross in yen.

Love Live Movie was released on BD this week, and that alone totaled to over 2 billion yen.

193,769 * ¥10,584 + 8,528 * ¥7,344 = ¥2,113,480,728

The remaining 43.7 million yen was from some CD releases, Season 1 re-release Vol.1~6, Season 2 Vol.3~6, and past live concert BD/DVD charting this week.
