The amount of people who think it's illegal to watch streams is mind-boggling. Stupidity must be contagious.

Only the distributor is breaking any laws.

Illegal or not, it gets the job done and gets it done well. If it gets permanently taken down one day, I'll just find a new site, but it'll be my go-to for the foreseeable future.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

Take me back to the days before MAL became infested with Twitter's favorite buzzwords.

i thought it was taken down. is it back already? darn it.
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

For those who want to learn Japanese through anime

Yeah it's still down, they said it'll be back up in 15 days-1 month. So I'm using a different site right now.

Yes, but you dont have to give a fuck about that.

This.

Just keep using it (when it's up again), I highly doubt the cops will ever knock on your door for watching anime on that site.

I respect your opinion as long as you respect mine.

OP should be donating money to Kissanime to maintain their service costs if he wants it that badly when there are better alternatives

Yes, it is an illegal anime streaming website. They take the anime from torrent trackers which are usually from Crunchyroll or Funimation and host it themselves for others to watch for free.

Crunchyroll was same few years ago, using anime from free fansubbers and making a living out of it. Now it is legal.

Yes, because they didn't pay the respective copyright holders to use their anime and don't have any legal right or permission to have those shows viewable on their website and it's a crime under international copyright law. All the respective Japanese copyright holders would be well within their rights to pursue legal action against the website if they wanted.

Yes it's illegal. Tho, I don't understand why people won't support Crunchyroll and FUNimation but they support Kissanime. I remember I asked them in FB and they said there are more than 25k users purchased an account there. XD

Small comparison of what the different websites offer you (let's limit it to this season):

• Crunchyroll: 29 series but only 25 of them are available just a few hours after they air in Japan.
• Funimation: 15 series but only 13 of them are available in just a few hours.
• Kissanime: All 46 shows even the ones that aren't licensed but have fansubs like Dragon Ball Super. If fansubs are uploaded before CR or Funi then you'll have those earlier too.

And then you've the fact that the series are region locked on Crunchyroll and Funimation but you can watch them from everywhere on Kissanime.
So from a service standpoint Kissanime is far superior compared to Funimation or Crunchyroll and you also get OVAs, specials and movies as well.

Tempting. So I assume that only the ads pay for the website themselves? After all, nothing wrong with charging people for stuff if you're providing it for "free"
