Could someone explain how exactly is low budget linked with shit animation? Eventually animators will still have to draw that shit, so do they intenitionally make it look like shit just to get those 10 bucks more? Or are they outsourcing it to high school clubs?
better animation=more frame rate screen=more drawing= more time & money. For more detail information, just ask this guy

Not all are into the budget's problem. There are instances that the committee is just plain bad. If the studio is full of bad production committees and outsourced alot of bad employees, well what a bad luck brian studio

well, it's actually simple. budget limit what you can spend, not what you can do and made. if you spend it efficient, yes, it will be great. but saying budget is not important to make anime is like saying medicine is not important to cure people.

Well, I really loved Beelzebub.
actually, it's failure adaptation. less funny, bad script, bad fillers and average animation compare to manga. but if they stand alone, they are good.
Don't really care for the adaptation because I haven't read the manga. However, even if I did, I still wouldn't mind because the anime decided to be different from the manga. Make a Beelzebub: Brotherhood for all I care.

the problem is not when it's different or not. but the problem when it dissapointed it original fans. because it means decrease it own fans. and also killed itself. lot of anime try to be different and still liked for both original sorce fans and anime viewer. that's what it need.

honestly, i don't like 1:1 adaptation. it's plain boring.

Well I know that. I'm asking why some frames look like this for example.

Not to mention it was captured when they were still. Is low budget a good excuse for shoddy work? And I know there is a revision of each episode so I guess staff and director are okay with it.

wait, did you mean art style? animation is when they are move. yes, rokka no yuusha have bad art style sometimes, but at the same moments, they are great too. make detailed frames is also need more effort. talking about animations, rokka no yuusha animations actually laughable too. the battle between monster have so low frame rate and bad coreography. i dunno about how many budget they have, but for effort, yes they have little lazy works. some anime have really less detail art style, but nice animation ( EX: Ping pong, mononoke). .

Pierrot is just like every studios out there that have their successes and failures. If you want an example of their good animation, look into Baby Steps. I loved how they animated Baby Steps. Yes, it does have some reused animation or stills/slides, but I haven't seen anatomy movement this smooth for a very long time, (start from 0:55)

Very impressive job I'd say.

Actually, if you look at some of the OP and ED sequences they make, you'd see they're fairly capable of good animation... or at least make it captivating or eye catching.

Didn't particularly hate 'em but they're a subpar inconsistent studio that had they're own success and failure.
They're animation is mostly subpar and when their animation suddenly become good, it's mostly done by other studio.

I'm looking around at the series Studio Pierrot has done, like Bleach!, even thogh I never watched much of tha series, Fushigi Yuugi, which is a good series, Creamy Mami, Hikaru No Go, one of the best anime series made, Kimigure Orange Road, Pastel Yumi, another Magic Girl anime, I just watched episode 1, Fancy Lala, Midori Days, that was funny, Tokyo Mew Mew, and even Urusei Yatsura. Those are some ver good series. SP might just be better at animating magic girl type anime. I never cared too much for Naruto, so I always avoided that series, it probably isn't too good , but has a lot of fans probably because it's on the Cartoon Network, and lasted a long, long time as well, like The Simpsons. So I don't really worry about that so much, whether the anime is good or not, if I did, then it would suck all the fun out of watching anime.

Wut? the pain fight was epic :(
And Root A wasn't even their fault, it was the publishing company that hired them.

Pierrot at their best.

I hate Studio Pierrot with a passion just because of one reason
They are destroying Naruto with endless fillers
I know they have made some nice shows
But what they are doing with Naruto is just unforgivable
Instead of ending the series with a bang and giving it the respect it deserves they keep on milking it and for that i hate them

The fillers continued even when the manga had ended, the series is being milked. I dropped Shippuden to read the manga instead and it was so much better.

I like how half of those shots are actually from well-animated episodes. Goes to show just how silly some people can be when they see any animation that deviates from the usual drawing style that they are used to.

I'm very bitter about what they did to Tokyo Ghoul..the manga is so damn amazing and the anime can't hold a candle to the original content.

i totally agree with you here. your comment is the most rational one in this thread, with a few others. it really saddens me to see this amount of ignorance everywhere.

that what i do like about Pierrot. is they can be very creative at the most intense and important moments. like shippuden 40:00 minutes special episodes. also unlike 80% of anime fans out there. i really respect their work on TG. and how they wanted to make a different story.

osamatsu-san have AOTS potential. it has best first episode i see so far. i don't understand why people generelize a studio. i start to feel this studio underrated recently.

As Kimi may have said in Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, what a boring human.

You should try everything once, if only to know why you should never smoke, do drugs or drink (though alcohol is, after all the cause of and solution to all of life's problems).

You really shouldn't. Once you touch drugs once, it's extremely hard to stop, and once you smoke more than once (since the first time feels completely different from the second), it's also extremely hard to stop. Stop making retarded suggestions.

Don't watch unless you want to spoil yourself but yes, most of the time it has shit animation.
Despite there being something wrong with the texture and the Background, that was actually pretty ok.

It was great, and pretty amazing to watch given the context. There just aren't many other fights on that level of animation. He was trying to say that they can be good if they want to.

I thought it was a pretty good anime. But Death Parade was the fucking best this year !

Not even close... Death Parade was good early on, but faltered terribly as it went on. The episodes with the two murderers were good then it went back to being average. DP, in general, wasn't even close to the goodness that Death Billiards was.

As far as best this year goes, I'd give that to either Kekkai Sensen or Arslan Senki... or I could cheat and give it to Shirobako, which was a carry over from last year.

Shokugeki is the best this year imo.
