| Since the fix, I've had no major logout problem until yesterday. I was automatically logged out sometime yesterday (on tablet) and now no matter how many times I try to log in, it still tells me to log in. I tried many times yesterday, and I just tried today but it doesn't log in at all. It was fine on Monday and I haven't used my account from another IP for weeks. I can log in perfectly fine on PC (as I've done here), but I just can't seem to log in on my tablet (this has ONLY happened to my MAL account, all other online accounts have been fine). |

| Still having this issue on a completely clean install of Windows 10. Had it on Windows 7 this entire time. It NEVER went away. Friends reported same thing when I asked them. You failed at fixing this. |

You failed at fixing this. You won't be logged in forever. So you will be still logged out, at least not every minute/hour like what happened before. Mod Edit: Removed baiting. |

| This is legitimate issue that I do not have with any other site. It logs me out every two or three days. It should NOT be doing this. Selecting "Always Stay logged in" should keep me logged in for at least the standard month that websites have been offering since the late 90s (if not earlier). Before this issue started, it WOULD keep me logged in for a month. This was about a year or so ago. 2008-most of 2014 I had no issues. Hell, the button actually even says "ALWAYS stay logged in." If it was supposed to log me out every day then it wouldn't have the word "always" in it. http://i.imgur.com/9yM3jxG.png |

Does indeed seem to be the issue. I just logged in again and the "MALSESSIONID" cookie, assuming this is the correct one, was created today the 18th and expires on the 25th. That would certainly explain it. I too would prefer it set back to the very well accepted 1 month period, but I can't imagine they made a change like that unless they had good reason to. |

| I've set expiration date for MALSESSIONID to 2020 and haven't been logged out ever since. There's no good reason, it's probably just some default value that they haven't changed and didn't notice. Even 1 month is way too low value, it should be at least year (5 years even better). |
