| Nami and sayuri aren't disturbing. They are just really strange. To me the most disturbing anime that I watched was Boku no Pico. I'm sure there are much worse shows (especially the ones that involve a lot of gore) but I try to stay away from them |

Sayuri is something that you can laugh about later with your friends. A disturbing show would involve gore, people doing disgusting things etc. Shows that you just want to forget about as soon as possible. |

Instead of packing the show with gore, they left many things to the imagination which actually made it worse. Genocyber as a whole so far but i like it maybe i am twisted but way of representing things is just brutal weird, random yet enjoyable most discusting anime for sure but i still have to see violence jack . EOE as a whole concept NGE during second half. Gantz had its moments of both mental breakdowns and extreme physical pain that turn stomach it is not just gore it is humans who are scary. Fist Of The North Star movie because share rawness of whole thing, and way of directed. Shigurui had aloot of insane moments and whole atmosfere is very tense . Corpse Party made me appreciate little kids in anime more and really shows the crazyness of chars. Shiki in that first special (20.5 episode) is just discusting and disturbing and shows humans when they become fully thirsted predators/animals also what doctor did to his wife that long scene was very painfull to watch pure torture. Elfen Lied as a whole concept. Texhnolyze even though i didnt finished it whole atmosfere is darkest i saw in any anime. Ergo Proxy similiar feel to Texhnolyze and NGE concepts in it is insane and scary future. |

| Jigoku Shoujo comes to mind-- all three seasons. The true intentions and hate that manifests inside someone is truely scary... I mean there was one episode where a kid wished death upon his unborn little sibling because his step mum was being a bitch... Very very very dark stuff. |
