Huge epic fail rule of thumb: if you're way behind and there's only 2 days or less left, it's already too late. I rushed for Tier 2 on the last day as well. I knew it would be around 60k pts cut-off, so I aimed for 64k pts to get all 13 loveca rewards back. We still gained the same amount of points per loveca, but it was 80% of normal pts needed (64k vs 80k). So it made sense to go for Tier 2 this time, since it is effectively 3 extra loveca back if you went for 64k in normal time. Made it to 64k pts at 14:58 JST playing 3EX/3H the whole way (since I have 118LP), so I was way above the cut-off for Tier 2. |

any ideas on how many lovecas would be needed for a tier 2 in medleys? i'm guessing you'd need more lovecas compared to the other events, but not really sure. my guesstimate is around 25-30 lovecas for someone with 100 - 110 LP. |

Well it is ~3.7k pts/day for hard medley and ~4k pts/day for EX medley. The upcoming event will be 10 days long, so that's 37k or 40k with natural LP gain. Each loveca should net you around 1.6k~1.7k pts (?), and assuming the Tier 2 cut-off is 80k or so, then that is around 25~30 loveca needed. But then you will rank up a few times during the event, and you will also gain loveca back from reaching pts milestones. So I guess the net loveca loss at 100~110LP is probably somewhere between 5 and 10 (if you overspend a bit to stay safe in Tier 2). Typically my net loveca loss (at 115~120LP) is between 0 and 5, even after overspending quite a bit... so it's not as bad a hit as score matches in my experience. It also helps to have some drops such as those green tickets, which makes me prefer medley festival over score matches. |

Umi's next event will be within the next six weeks, don't worry. How coincidental, lol, that EN reached a pop. milestone so close to when JP did. And why the hell is this event not Umi... it's been so long since an Umi event had occurred, I'm pretty damn sure. In English of course the next Umi event is Warrior Princess... With Eli and another cool event out of the way, there is only Rin and Umi left and a smile and pure event left. So, based on that, i'm inclined to guess that it'll be smile Rin and pure Umi, but who is next between the two is anyone's guess, since they are both from lily white, lol. |

Eli is between Maki and Hanayo... who did 84.2k and 77.7k (but with 1 extra day): http://www.usagi.org/doi-bin/llcutoff.pl?me=37,40,43 So if we take off around 6k pts for the extra day in the Hanayo event, that's 71.7k, which would make me incline to guess the final cut-off will be 77~78k. Even then, i'm aiming for 80k anyway... but if there is a sudden pickup, then I will go a bit higher as necessary. |

Okay, so to clarify, events occur in sets of 9, meaning every 9 events will contain exactly 1 of each mu's member, and any one of those 9 events is equally likely to contain any of the mu's members? ejc said: With Eli and another cool event out of the way, there is only Rin and Umi left and a smile and pure event left. (In fact, I would guess that Umi is likely to be Smile, because she has yet to have an event Smile card). Also, if it were Eli and Umi left, isn't the order still unpredictable? What does Rin and Umi both being in Lily White have to do with anything? |

What does Rin and Umi both being in Lily White have to do with anything? It is equally likely which is why I made a guess because Rin seemed more of a smile attribute and Umi a pure attribute to me. Well if we look at Kotori's past events, she has 2 pure, 3 cool and 0 smile SRs... so it is still equally likely for Umi to be either smile or pure, even if she hasn't had any smile SR yet. It is actually Rin and Umi left, as the current medley festival is Eli, but it is still unpredictable nevertheless. I mentioned lily white, because the last token event was Honoka from Printemps with "小夜啼鳥恋詩" from the "永遠フレンズ" single. So it would be reasonable to assume the next song will be "ふたりハピネス" from the "秋のあなたの空遠く" single, since all 3 BiBi members have already had events this round, which would rule out the BiBi collaboration single. Since Rin and Umi are both from lily white, then both of them should be equally likely to be the next SR in the upcoming token event. However, apparently there is some way to tell who is next, but I haven't figured out how this is done. |

What combo do i need to get a C combo in medley festival? i got like 300 and 400 something combos but still never got C combo..... i'm so mad I hate medley festival so much. i believe to get a C-combo, you should be able to hit at least around 30% the total number of notes in a combo. if the total number of notes is 1500, you'll probably need about 1500*.3 = 450 combo i know this is true for singular experts in general. maybe it's also true when you play a set of 3 experts |

Yes, C combo is 30% so it depends on which songs you get, the shorter ones or the longer ones. Generally with 3 songs you must FC one of them to get the C combo, maybe more if you FC the shortest one. 300 is not enough in Expert generally. |
Mar 14, 2015 9:15 AM
#1835
^confirmed so you need 30% for C-combo, 50% for B-combo, 70% for A-combo a list of required combo range for all attributes (all combo rounded up) Smile combo range: C-combo: 306 - 468 B-combo: 510 - 779 A-combo: 714 - 1091 Pure combo range: C-combo: 334 - 487 B-combo: 556 - 811 A-combo: 778 - 1135 Cool combo range: C-combo: 330 - 479 B-combo: 550 - 798 A-combo: 770 - 1117 so when playing a set of 3 experts, you may need to do as much as 470-490 combo to get a C-combo |

loveca will now be 20% more expensive in Japanese / iOS version of the game in the upcoming update edit: in case people don't know: in the next update, you'll need iOS 6.0 or later to play the game. people running iOS 5.1 are recommended to either update to a newer OS or transfer their accounts to a device running iOS 6.0 or later if you can't update to iOS 6.0, you need to transfer your account as soon as possible, otherwise you'll lose access to your account in the next update. |

You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/. The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish. Show your support to your favorite artist if you can! ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name. For those who want to learn Japanese through anime Resources for learning the language |
