Attack on Titan had a lot of potential after it's fairly impressive start but its tedious pacing during the middle episodes and pretty uninteresting characters let it down. |

Tokyo Ghoul probably. However, I guess you could already guess it was going to fail since it tried to fit a huge part of the manga in 12 episodes. |

The show introduced two characters that didn't help but instead derailed the story. |

Omg, an opinion. :O :D I wouldn't call this a wasted potential since the show is strongest in it's story. And if you didn't like that, than you most certainly didn't like the characters, but that's an opinion. I mean I think that Clannad sorta wasted it's potential... |

SAO had potential with that cool premise but ultimately failed after Kirito started his unintentional harem hunt and when the excessive honeymoon episodes came in. Nisekoi...I didn't see it having potential lol. If it was extended to 24 episodes, still nothing would have changed. :| The manga is at 100 something chapters (IIRC) and no girl has been chosen yet. |

The way it is set up initially, there could have been an interesting modernized parody of Romeo & Juliet, as the Yakuza and the Mafia are like the Montagues and Capulets. But that probably wouldn't have sold nearly as well as endless romcom bullshit, particularly as a shounen series. I still enjoyed it though, I thought it was at least relatively well executed and Shaft makes the ridiculous reaction faces from the Manga come to life, but it wasn't anything particularly special. |

Death note for obvious reasons They should have just stopped after L's Death , meleron and the new L both suck ass Phantom : rftp : It was a really good watch but the ending kinda sucked in my opinion. Zankyou no terror : I still gave it a 8 but they really could have fleshed out the characters more and they should have never added 5 in to the bunch. |

SHAFT definitely made it better than it was but it's still not quite special enough for me to call it memorable or exceptional. |

I gave Nisekoi a pretty good score (8/10) because it made me laugh a helluva lot, and Shaft made "mundane" things epic to watch. But dude, your idea would have been glorious. The series does make some allusions to Romeo and Juliet (the setting, the play at the end, etc...), but it's not enough obviously. |
