| I've been thinking I need to re-think my ratings. I mean yeah, Cowboy Bebop is great and all but honestly, if Breaking Bad is the definition of a 10/10 then most shows cannot be anywhere near a 10. So really all my 10's should be bumped down to like 7 or 8. I mean honestly - FMAB is the top rated show here. WTF? I mean just within anime there are much better candidates. Where the hell is Grave of the Fireflies? Where the hell is Millennium Actress? Are you trying to tell me FMA is better than a Ghibli Film or a Kon work? Weaboo pls. |

| I used to give all the anime i have watched high ratings, but that was when i didn't know any better. People with less experience tend to give higher ratings. although, you may not agree with what other people are rating your favorite anime, but its essentially all personal opinion. so yeah |

| for me 7-8 is good anime 9-10 more than good and when watch it really give me a good time and 4 is really bad |
| I use 5-7 a lot when rating anime, those are for "ok anime". 8 is a good anime and 9 and 10 means I can't stop thinking how good the series was. You can guess when I use 1-4, they are either not funny, not interesting or they have no meaning (a complete waste of time). For example I usually give low ratings to Hentai manga. They are just lewd, there is nothing really good about them (there are exceptions of course). |

| < 6 - Less than average. 6 - Okay 7 - Good 8 - Great 9 - Outstanding 10 - Amazing/Masterpiece That said, the majority of my animes are rated 8, with a few sevens sprinkled here and there. I only have 1 anime rated 10, with a couple of 9s. Since my rubric usually consists of rating anime from 6-10, the majority of my ratings are usually the average between 10 and 6, which is 8. |

| I think 9 is bad 10 is good. Any Anime that I had picked and completed is a standard 9 minimum. |

| My enjoyment value of a show is the most important in considering the overall score. Story, Characters, Art, Animation and Sound also play a role, but with that said: 10 - Masterpiece 9 - Amazing 8 - Great 7 - Fine/Good 6 - Above Average 5 - Average or Meh |

| Anything I think that's below a 5, is 99% dropped! I've no time for trash. Even watching shows that are average is already a pain. Anime masochistic I salute you. |

| Does anyone ever get bored with their 8-rated anime? This happens to me from time to time but I don't find it unnatural and I don't tend to lower my rating, unless the quality also drops. But I suppose after an amount of boredom -or things you wait to see how turns out- you naturally start to think worse about said anime and drop rating. |

| Hm, I don't mind really. Everyone has their own score system, be it a really high-standard one (where the average lays around 4-5) or one where someone pretty much enjoy any show he/she watches(lower standards, resulting in averages of like 7-8) It does make the anime ratings MAL a bit skewered tho, I've tried looking past the ratings and instead watch the OP of an anime that has me interested to see whether I'm gonna watch it. |
