Sunako is in my opinion a little crybaby that doesn't know shit about consequences. She still fears death, otherwise she wouldn't have cried in the burning temple and just take her death like a man. She deserved to die, just because of that. If she's afraid of death, then why does she kill, she could've just left her victims alive.. For that, she really should've died in my opinion.

Muroi should've just left her there when she said she was ready to leave everything behind, but the coward didn't because he's a pussy. He didn't want to kill at any point in the anime, but the only person he did kill.. Just happened to be my favourite character. RIP Ookawa Tomio.

Anyways, that aside.. Great anime. Awesome OST. Loved it til the last minute. Even though I hated the very last second, with Muroi driving away. The fact it left such a strong impact (disapproval/hate) must've meant it was a really good anime and I was really into it a lot. Marathon'd it in two days.

I mean I get it he likes little girls or little boys its was priests do but the reason I disliked him so much is that he is a hypocrite. Right when the bad ass big beard dude went to hunt down the girl by himself. I knew the monk was going to kill him. There was no real surprise there for me.

The Dr or Toshio really kept the show alive for me. Without him it would not have been much of an anime. Toshio had to do what he had to and that is to put the shiki in their place. Its too bad the other villagers didn't have the same mind set as he did until it was to late. Like Natsuno said " the shiki started it first"

I don't really get all the hate for Megumi, I personally liked her character and found her death to be really sad. It was messed up how they just kept running her over, basically torturing the poor girl while she was crying her eyes out begging for her life. They should have just killed her quickly with a stake and been done with it.

Natsuno's death was pretty badass and I'm glad he took that blue haired douchebag out with him. I hated that cocky bastard.

But yeah my only real gripe with this episode was that Sunako lived. Seriously shes the one who started the whole thing and had more blood on her hands then anyone else. Her pathetic scared little girl act didn't make me feel bad for her at all. She SHOULD have died, but thanks to that moron Muroi shes free to go kill another village.

Also Muroi taking epic beard man out was BS >_>

I loved the shiki and i wanted them to win the village, but they nearly all of them died. i hate that natsuno, he is stupid. he killed his own kind ans killed himself and he gained nothing but destruction. But the ending was good, i was really happy that muori and sunako escaped safly. I wanted all the village to be shiki. i don't sympathise with humans of the village at all, the killed their own families(i know that their families was shikis but they were alive). The humans showed more agression than shikis and they got what they deserve. their town was destroyed and their lives are ruined. I am glad that muori killed that big old man and rescued sunako. That old man didnt only kill shiki he also killed humans like the people he killed in the temple.

i don't know why many reviews hated sunako and wanted her to die. I really was so happy that she escaped.

I mean, from the way things went in the past couple of ep's I really didn't feel the human were any better than the shiki. In fact the humans seem FAR more blood trusty toward the end than the shiki ever did.
But that's just my opinion.....

Aside from me being pissed off at Seishin/Sunako the entire episode, I was disappointed in how sudden Natsuno's death was. I wanted a more dramatic scene ;v; I didn't think I'd end up liking him as a character so much by the end of it all.

The series as a whole was a lot better than I thought it would be. I was actually just expecting some gore and jumpscares, but I got a lot more than that. The very last scene with the bus was... strange. It didn't leave any closure at all. Was it supposed to hold some kind of meaning, or was it just to show that some people decided to stay in Sotoba? Either way, I am really relieved Kaori and her brother are fine. I liked Kaori quite a bit, and I'm assuming Natsuno was the one who saved the little brother from the old guy? And brought Kaori to the city hospital?

It's human ignorance and paranoia that did this.....the shiki did what they did to live...just like us when we eat other animals......

When we eat a rare animal and there about to go extinct no one has a problem with it........but when a hungry tiger kills a few humans to feed it's self and its cubs....It's a international tragedy..........a animal might go extinct but who cares when we dont see this animal again....but when a human is killed....out of 7 billion people......It's a tragedy and they should be hunted........

Like the crocodile hunter.....he was killed by a sting ray and people went on a sting ray killing spree.

The humans killed sting rays out of revenge just because it was defending its self.

What about the humans who killed the temple people....without no evidence or even a look around they killed them

What about the pipe episode the humans was bitten once and was killed by the humans

The shiki feeds on humans but they don't need to kill them in order to live...It's only a cup on blood they need to live a night.

The humans killed out of hatred and vengeance and to get back the village.......but lost it.......serves them right.

Sunako.might of wanted the villege for her shiki And you might say they invaded first but humans invade and kill other humans all the time....don't be a hypocrite.

2 even if sunakos family did this idea of not making anymore shiki and just sneaked around the villages to getting blood there's one thing youv missed.............they can't age they would look the same even if a 100 years went by....And that would cause a commotion ....think about it......

And the reason why they decided to live in the village was to make it theres so shiki wouldn't be prosecuted by humans and making the humans shiki would be a paradise for them.......

Yes I know it was a childish idea but that's what sunako is...a child she stopped developing when she turned in to a shiki........even that blue haired shiki in the manga said to natsuno that her plan would never work and the reason why he went along with it was because he wanted to see what would happen.

Humans eat animals and plants to live....It's the same for the shiki they feed on us to live.

Btw, what they did was even more noticeable, than trying to feed quietly.

Sunako may be tortured because of her past, but many people are. it doesn't give her right to harm innocents. And she is old enough already to understand what she is doing. Her physical age in the moment of turning has nothing to do with it. I can't believe that after all these years she was not able understand, what happens, when she makes "friends".
She couldn't make a village of happy shikis. They wouldn't have enough blood, so the rampage and pain would have to continue. It is an easy thought. If she had any sort of plan, she should've understood it.
And she was unhappy when she was turned, she is still unsure of her place in world - why does she want to make other people experience the same, if her wish is so pure an innocent? Not to mention, that for her selfish wish she kills a ton of uninvolved people (those who didn't rise).

In short, she had a way to live without making others suffer, but she chose to break many lives instead, she is guilty. She might've wanted to try something new, but it was immoral right from the beginning and far exceeded means necessary for her mere survival.
I have a strong suspicion that the fact that she is a gothic loli makes most people defend her. Moe = right, so people think.

DeadOptimist answered your questions very well regarding surviving between humans and shiki too. The only part I'm not sure how to answer is what I would do if my family member became a Shiki.

You are nitpicking humans, yes there were some you killed for the enjoyment, or so it seemed, but there were others who killed Shikis as they were dangerous.

Wars aren't natural either, they are driven by propaganda and politics, similar to how the ishval civil war started. I wouldn't discuss beliefs since I too follow a religion, which will lead this discussion to something similar.

And my first post regarding how Shikis are born, what would you say about that? What if your mother was dragged and thrown into a cell where a newly risen shiki would feed on her?
