Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg... and my arm... even my fingers. The body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you? I'm gonna make them give back our past."

American and I'm very happy with that. My parents aren't from here and I understand why they wanted to move here and give me American citizenship. It does make things easier when traveling and I enjoy living in the States.

I'm half Norwegian, half German, half Russian and half Serbian.

One day I am going to move to the USA, so that my children and grandchildren can tell everyone at school and MAL about their diverse background while it still matters. Then somewhere along the line I will be mentioned as an ancestor, when it stopped being relevant a hundred years ago.

My nationality is set in stone.

A (Grand-)Parent having been or being a Citizen in a particular Country or State (in the World) doesn't necessarily equal having actual ancestral Background of it. At least not that much in Countries or States (of the World) with the Right of the Soil (jus soli).

I see, your Nationality is connected to the Swedish Country or State (currently: Kingdom of Sweden).
My Nationality isn't connected to the German Country or State (currently: Federal Republic of Germany), but rather to the Perception of belonging to the German People, which however doesn't mean that I can't or won't be supportive of my Country as well.

But you can live pretty freely in the World:

The USA is ranked 1st on Visa Freedom (together with the UK, Germany, Sweden and Finland).

^Finland have some awesome metal bands ;)

To be completely honest (my opinion here, don't flame me pls :P), I understand if one would like to live somewhere else as the political/financial situation in their country is bad, but if anyone is ashamed of their nationality, ethnicity or race then I think that is pretty pathetic.

French. Wished I could have the double nationality (from my chinese father) but china isn't too keen on allowing that. So only french. And I am fine with it, it's cool to have (except when people keep asking me if I am chinese/insert other asian nationalities or start asking me stuff in chinese. I barely speak it.)

Nationality: Pakistan.

Given a chance, I wouldn't change it. Not because I'm patriotic or anything but because I don't see any point in it.

Somehow but not entirely. Sweden is a national state, unlike the US, India or any other colonialist creation. My nationality is a mix of both the ethnicity and citizenship. "Jus soli" - I feel strong ties to the land (geographic area) itself.
In the way you see that you belong to the german people, I would say that I am scandinavian. Lately, being swedish is more in the sense of having citizenship in Sweden in recent years, rather than to do with ethnicity.

So basically you're connected to the Country in a geographical Sense, but politically and/or economically and/or for other Reasons, you would leave your Citizenship behind or would you absolutely apply for Dual-Citizenship?
Interesting, because I view "Nationality" as a Mix of Ethnicity and national Identity in the Sense of belonging to a specific People, rather than to a specific geographical Place and/or to a political and juridical Entity such as a (National) State. Hmm, I can easily see a common Scandinavian People being eventually created, however, the Percentage of People with Germanic Blood or from other nearby, indigenous People could sink that much drastically due to Naturalization of Citizens with other Ethnic, Immigrant Backgrounds, so that having a typical "Nordic" Look would become less and less likely for the typical Scandinavian over the Course of multiple Generations.

American and no, I wouldn't. I'd like to shapeshift to blend in with other nations to see their culture in its natural habitat without foreigners beside them, but America, despite some of the bad, has plenty of good to it.
