Stance? I don't know how there could be anything opposing the idea, so I really only see one possible stance towards it - just watching and waiting.

I have a big feeling that the actual person you are won't be whatever they change you into after the conversion, but I don't see humans in the same way most people do. I think people aren't as special as they are made out to be, working identically like computers + chemical reactions to produce emotions. I would be fine with a duplicate of me carrying my memories "living" on in its own way. I'd be gone in the view of being a human, but I would see a part of me still existing. What makes us is our memories in our brains, and the brain itself is very fragile - as-well as our bodies in a way.
