The whole industry was getting stale and stagnant with borderline retarded characters and emotionally driven nonsense.

I will watch if I think it's good.. dropping now...

1. If the pacing is too horrendous I'd probably drop it, at least until the show ends
2. If there's way too much blatant/excessive fanservice, especially when it involves young girls
3. If the animation quality isn't at least passable for the era.
4. Too much use of awkward CG.
5. Stupid plot twists.
6. Godmode characters and too many asspulls.
7. If the show runs too long and I lose interest.

Looks like besides talking why someone dislikes a certain anime, there isn't a lot to talk about what makes you watch an anime, not mentioning the number of possible responses are limited and become redundant quite fast. Mostly, it's because this is a listing/simple listing topic.
