Though I haven't seen it there is a Purge tv series that covered how people would act when it's not purge day. I know, but you still have to believe the premise somehow. Anyway, I don't think the movie is good all in all. It appeared more like a trashy horror movie to me. Premise is interesting but execution would have been much better if it wasn't limited as a horror and explore more than just murder. While it is true that the law isn't what holds most people's morals together but that misses how people's morals are shaped by law and their culture. So it's not all that outlandish. Also people rarely live up to their moral ideals due to slips in judgment and mood |
