| I came back to the episode discussion just to see reactions, its good to see people are still having them, I thought everyone would of been spoiled by now especially for this episode. As for wishing someone back to life.. really? as if bringing someone back from the dead ever works out in these types of stories. Kyubey is no dragon ball |
| Wow.. Talk about a turning point. I've heard the rest of the series is as dark as this episode, if not even more so. This anime seems to be flipping the 'magical girl' genre well and truly on its arse. Awesome. |

| Definitely a strong twist. I kind of wish I didn't see it coming, because people recommending the show to me said to make sure to watch past the third episode. Still, set a strong mood. |

| I was really pissed off with the way Mami treated Homura. Not that I was happy seeing her die, but I didn't feel that bad. Why Homura gets so much hate, she's not evil at all TT (..But I may be wrong, let's see how this show turns out) |

| Dang, yo. From all the things I heard about this show, I was already expecting the tone to shift eventually, but.. daaang. That was one of those heart-stabber moments for me at the end. Y'know, when something just so unexpected happens you can't believe it, and you get a kind of terrible feeling in your chest. But I like that feeling, too, because it tells me I'm watching a good show. It's such a cold pleasure sensation that a lot of shows don't usually provoke. Jeez, am I making sense? Anyways, great episode. And it's not like the show wasn't preparing us for this. The characters were always hinting at how dark this stuff could get. I just really wasn't taking those hints seriously, because.. I mean, c'mon! Everything was so cute and fluffy. Also, the new ending theme really added to the serious shift in tone. (It was creepy as heck, too.) |

| Even though I've already watched this show, and even though it's probably been discussed ITT buried somewhere, I have to ask: What happened to Mami's mobility? Did she suddenly feel suicidal (which would be OoC for her)? Did the enemy surprise her that much (hard to believe, considering she's experienced in this job)? Did her beheading actually take a long time and the anime just sped up everything? What gives? It's the only egregiously spotty part of the story for me. |

I think that it was obvious that Mami was so happy that she wasn't alone anymore, that she let her guard down and was taken by surprise. Also, it must happen fast, since entire scene was shown in slowmo: one moment she was totally happy and confident, in another she got her head bitten off. I love her facial expressions in that scene - happiness, then smile mixed with slight surprise and total shock and disbelief in the end :) Mami's self confidence was also reason why she lost her life - remember what she said whe she fought Gertrud? I can never lose, or something like this. |

| -Sigh- Mami. She's the character you kill off, seriously?! Okay, I'm not entirely surprised, I got the feeling she wasn't as powerful because she was changed into a magical girl while on the brink of death and had no choice. I think she also mentioned that it depends on your wish to Madoka. Her death might not have been a surprise but the way she died was, and how suddenly. I feel bad for her getting her head bitten off by that weird witch. Speaking of the witch, the design for it was way better this time. The girls didn't have to chose a wish thanks to Homura and it'll be interesting to see how they react to Mami's death. But Homura is just annoying. |

| Holy shit! is Mami dead?! damn.. the OST is epic.. it reminds me of fate/zero OST! Kyubei seems sooo hasty and rushing both Sayaka and Madoka to become Magical girls! what's his reasons and objectives? i can tell Homura is against that! and i won't forget that she attacked him in the first episode.. i'm keeping good eyes on these two.. 5/5 |

| I was expecting Mami to die int he first episode itself because of her overconfidence. Just because she is a 'sempai' to them and an experienced mahou shoujo doesn't mean you have to show off, lol. People may disagree with me but I for one am very happy that Mami got killed. That's what happens when you're overconfident. Am I the only one who is rooting for Homura? :S |

I like that :p Oh, i liked how Mami died :D I really hated her attitude when she wouldn't listen to Homura You know she set a death flag after she said "Will you really fight with me from now on? Will you stay by my side?" ^ that's a line you'd expect from a game just before someone goes out and gets killed lol LOL Bring her up just to bring her down harder than ever Liked the horror scene. Sort of. (Wanted more but that's just asking for too much) HAHAHAHA XD I loved the ending |

| NOOO! Did Mami die? UGHH! This is incredible... such a gripping show... but still I was looking forward to Madoka and Mami being partners! Now it seems that Madoka has been pushed into a position where she HAS to become a magical girl, to now avenge Mami! Can't wait to see what happens next! |

| I feel like they're just going to wish her back, this show can't be that predictable can it? Anyway, that was an awesome episode. I hope they don't bring her back. I liked her but I just hate when shows do such a predictable thing. Killing off an early character like that isn't predictable, and that's what made this episode really awesome. It was a nice and dark surprise. |
