Hunter x Hunter or Shingeki no Kyojin, but i don't consider neither of those to have bad drawings.

Air. It's been a while, so I don't know how objectively 'good' the art was, but I recall having a lot of dislike for it.

Probably some obscure Shojo where the artist couldn't be bothered to draw bodies realistically.

Hunter x Hunter. Anyone who's read it knows what I mean. The art is decent for like 200 chapters and then it just starts looking like rough sketches.

Anything by Tsutomu Takahashi. His art is not horrible, but...meh. There's also Liar Game, but the art improves A LOT as the story goes on.

Surely Shingeki no Kyojin, the designs are horrible...it's a shame, for me is the only real lack of this manga.

For me, at first it was Liar Game... but the artwork improved, with the same similar elements, and turned out to be one of the best things I've read so far.

Shingeki no Kyojin (though I really like the series) has bad art.

Also. I think old series like Devilman and The Drifting Classroom have "bad" art by today's standards, because they aren't very detailed in character design (if you look at the protagonists, one basically looks like the other only with an age difference from teen and kid) but both series are in my favorites, and I'm really not bothered by art. Story and character counts way more for me!

Shoujo manga girls who have HUUUUUGE eyes also irritate me. But like the old manga, I get used to it.

Shingeki no Kyojin. The titans and evironment are fine, but Hajime Isayama sucks at drawing people. I can hardly ever determine what emotion the character is feeling.

I really don't care about bad artist, they just lack skill.

What pisses me off technically good artists who are just lazy fucks.

Like the Mangaka of perfect girl revolution sure she can draw pretty well, but fuck if you can tell, there are maybe 1 or 2 pages a chapter where she actually shows off her drawing ability.

The rest of the chapters are just very simplistic chibis wandering around white back grounds at the same flat angle.

Or HXH. He is good at drawing manga, and up to the Yorkshin city, the art was very good and pretty decent, but then after this I was like....WTF???? I couldn't read the chimera ant arc at all! I skipped from the Greed Island arc up to the 13th chairman election (I watched the 2011 anime so I didn't miss anything in particular).

Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori.... or Anatolia Story or Red River (it has a lot of different titles for some reason).

The art is absolutely horrendous, I mean look at that CHIN! You can poke someone's eye out with it... it's like a bloody weapon. o_O

But the story is simply fantastic (like, it's incredibly good) so I still ended up reading it and it still managed to get into my top favorites.
I highly recommend it~!

See, the thing is that backgrounds are very important. After drawing for a long time, drawing figures and such floating is space are easy. Trust me, it is really easy.

But drawing figures in perspective and within an environment is much, much harder. Artist like Ishida Sui also suffer from this. Araki too, although he tries his hardest. In Bleach, you will hardly ever see panels where there are a bunch of characters all standing in a group in an environment, because it's hard to draw and he can't do that/ He is a slave to the closeup, as Will Eisner calls it (shoutout to Scott McCloud)

bruh you quoted something from over a year ago. I forgot this account even existed.

Good points though, but Bleach is not even close to the worst, simply cause Kubo is too damn good at drawing characters. You can't be the worst if you're that good at even one aspect.

Shingeki no Kyojin at times is really inconsistent (especially in character looks) and Hunter x Hunter has little to no backgrounds with very minimal detailing (and at times, it looks atrocious).

Y'all don't know nothing.

The things I've seen with my own two eyes...Utter blasphemy to the world of art. A lot of Shinjo Mayu's works have some glaring anatomical discrepancies, more than most of the manga I've come across, except for perhaps Sex Pistols, which I will not even get into lest I devolve into a ball of sputtering rage and "huh?!"s.

Things To Keep In Mind:
  • You shut your mouth when you're talking to me.
  • My thirst for anything humanoid (and legal) cannot be contained.

I know this thread is old, but I just now witnessed a fucking horror of a manga. It's art is terrible. It's called Rinjin 13 Gou. It's probably the worst drawn manga in existence.

Was it the shyness in my soul that made me lonely just like you? No one noticed I was there, when I walked into the room.

I would say Hunter x Hunter since when it's bad it's goddamn awful. Like stick man I drew when I was three kinda awful. The characters appearances drastically change all the damn time as well which can be confusing...what do they really look like? Which version do I trust?!
However it tends to fluctuate and there are some pretty beastly panels there as well...the choreography & movement of fight scenes are good too.

With that being said, Junjou Romantica's artwork is an eyesore- most yaoi manga has gorgeous artwork (for obvious "plot" related purposes) but not here. Not at all. Just yaoi hands.

My pick would be Gokusen. Not only are the characters really, really simple looking, which I could forgive, but there is virtually like no backgrounds in most panels.
