| Everyone who says Inori doesn't deserve Shu. At first it was Shu who wanted her, and I'm sure at this point he does deserve her and that's enough. Hes dense enough to fall for anyone for comfort, but I think his love for Inori is a true matter. I ship both pairings so it doesn't matter to me which he chooses, although i seriously think they should have killed Shu off with Inori.....Because it makes no sense to leave him alive, other than the fact that he had everyone's voids....Even then, near the end they no longer had to worry about that.....Sooo they should've just killed both. Would've made a much better ending than what they gave us. |

Shu has longed after Inori from the start, but it's pretty clear on multiple occasions that ultimately he derives comfort from being with Hare. I kind of see the Shu and Inori pairing as having matured only after Hare passed, leaving Shu and Inori to start licking each other's wounds. |

I think the Tsugumi x Ayase shipping is the closest one to the truth at the end (pretty sure Tsugumi said they lived together?!) To the first part, I think she is over 17 now. She wasn't shown with the void so yeah... And looks like Shu might be labeled as the world's most infamous pedo by the end of his life... He might have to visit a lot of <17 areas, notably schools Second, I quite agree. Shu was also the one who broke her away from Gai's illusions and falsehood. And that is more like a sister relationship with her. Tsugumi's nickname for her was "Aya-nee" At the same time when Ayase said "He looked like he was looking forward to it" hint they might be living together, if not at least seeing each other quite frequently. Sigh... Why did season 1 have to go like that!? |

Instead of licking each others wounds, shouldering each others wounds is a more precise term as both of them actually were able to express their doubts, which licking each others wounds doesn't really consist of. But in the end, it all depends on how you view the term, I just find shouldering each others pain is a better term. And Yes you made a good point, he does seek comfort from Hare. But that was before she confronted him in the episode she confessed in the little room he has. After that, it was Shu x Inori all the way, Hare has a one sided love. |

But, I noticed that Shu didn't touch or was touched by anyone in the epilogue. It would have been nice to see Shu shake hands, pat someone on the shoulder, even a gentle embrace. Or have it done to him. Preferably, by Ayase. Haruka is about 28, 29 years old. In episode 20, she said that she had skipped a year and went to College, making her about 17 at the time, where she met Kurosu. The next year, she married him and shortly after that he was killed by Keido, on the day of Lost Christmas. The exact date of their marriage isn't mentioned, but it appeared that they were going to attend a Christmas Mass together as a family, when Lost Christmas occured. That was 10 years ago. |
