THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
I am going to post really quick. THEY FUCKING KILLED HARE! I hate you directors and staff of this anime. I teared out and am still in tears. In shock. OMG they killed Hare! FUCK! I am sorry I am totally shocked. I am angered at WTF they were doing with Hare healing a car? A car? At least the hug was nice. Really nice emotions there too. Hare T_T always a nice sweet girl.

At least the action and first part were enjoyable not much the action with Hare being in mind vaporized by the virus. May edit later. I am going to cool out.

Ohhh this evil new shun FTW. yeah kill the trash!

Shu's words:I was wrong..kindness is pointless. we have to seperate good from the trash.

Hare's death was a necessary sacrifice for shu to change guys.

Wait, wait, wait. You are telling me you didn't see this coming? Even though you see Shu and Inori on the cover of this show?? Did I mention Hare is listed as a "supporting" character?

EDIT: They copied LoGH yet again

Having cooled down a little, no I did not. I was thinking of Deus magically everyone get healed as much as it sounds cliche I wanted Hare to be by Shu's side. I did not want to believe because of my attachment to Hare. How hard it hit is still in me after the episode. It will take some hours to get over it. I liked a lot of Hare. Like I mention her sweet side especially this episode to Shu hit the hardest only to be destroyed by death.

Well they sure fucked me up emotionally those people who did this episode.

Uhhhh well I'm not really shocked, just extremely sad that Hare crystallized and broke into millions of pieces. Shu basically turned Lelouch on us, I'm guessing Yahiro is going to be the one who destroys him.

I feel really bad for Shu, he basically cracked.

Yeah they should have made something else than dead as what the title implies being. Now that Hare is gone, who is going heal them?

They should have made x random girl be the sacrifice. I guess this episode is somewhat of a cheer down on the series for me. Favorite character dies I get discontent in some animes of that when it's done badly in what leads to it and a car explosion is one. Regardless I wonder what they will impress me with in future episodes.

If episode 9 broke Shu, this demolished him.

Hare's death is probably one of the better death scenes I have seen recently. It felt really sincere and genuine for an anime. Much better than Yurin from Gundam Age; who, thanks to 32 years of Gundam knowledge, you knew she was going to die. To get across how well this was done, I was speechless during Hare's last moment, and Shu's following actions scared the heck out of me, not as much as he did Inori but still. Also, thanks to this episode, Souta you have some maturing to do before you are likable again.

To be honest I did not see a lot of the death flags as well as other viewers because Hare wasn't really any more involved than the other students unlike Shirley who kept getting mixed up in Geass and Black Knight matters.

On a side note: All of the hysteria in recent episodes is really making Guilty Crown feel more like an Araki anime.

Well.. this explains the emo Shu in the opening.

Why did Inori refuse to let Shu use her Void anyways? The way he pushed her on the ground was a bit harsh, but understandable.

This anime is really getting better and better in my opinion.

If they made some random girl be the sacrifice, Shu wouldn't have snapped. Like he saw that one random F girl die before Hare, and he just sighed.

Every idea is used up. If you want something original, create it yourself.

That's the first Guilty Crown episode i loved.
Shu was in his right to beat the cr@p out of his friend.
Hare;s death was great. Shu's reaction was epic.

Finally this anime is getting interesting.
At the beginning I thought, not again a main char who has a pussy personality and want to save everyone while being in a triangle romance.
But now....I realy like the twist in the anime. Now only Inori can save Shu from his darkness.

This was the best episode by far I agree. I didn't really see Hare's death coming like everyone said but I didn't really care for it because I haven't gotten attached to her as a character. Her death scene though was a great one. I really loved how it was done, with showing Shu's silhouette as he looks around and you wonder when he will look down and see Hare dead. The shout/cry he did was also very shrilling and you could really feel his pain, man it was good.

I can't wait until the next episode, we'll finally get a Gai-esque Shu.

Yeah maybe but ideally I was thinking more of the setup near death and survives after all or do the coma setup like in Kamisama no Memochou at its last episodes. You would have no idea how happier it would have been to see Hare alive and waking up eventually from her coma then dying like this. Really disappointed they did it like that despite the excellence in her gruesome death by the virus and emotional execution.

Wow, the BEST episode so far!!

If the rest of the episodes is as good as this one there better be another season. I must say that I feel a bit disappointed that they had to kill of Hare.....But they made a GREAT scene of it and not some half-assed bull. I'm really impressed!

This was the first episode of this show that had an emotional impact on me and managed to make me empathize with Shu, so props for that. It still feels like the producers had many great ideas to fill this anime only to execute them badly but at least it looks like things are going to pick up. Hopefully this episode is an indication for the things that are yet to come.

I'm shocked no one saw this coming. As ogi in code geass said 'Those who know rage must also know sorrow'. The only difference really between gai and, shu is that gai had resolve to be strong because he lost mana now shu lost hare and, he can become 'gai' so to speak. Also the power of void is also the power of the kings and, geass was called the same:P

Lol, I guess it's just attachment? I mean, he probably felt bad for Yahiro's bro and Gai, but was never really attached to them emotionally (or to a lesser extent, seeing as Gai is... well... a childhood friend and all). Hell, what Hare did in this episode totally amped up the attachment to 11.

I'm enjoying this too.

Damn it!. Same for me too, I started freakin' tearing up when Hare started bleeding. I'm afraid for other characters in this series, like Inori D;!. If Inori dies I swear I will murder the directors and cry my heart out. I also felt sad when I saw that girl 'Kyo' die. in like episode 6. Souta was a fuckin' dumb-ass for what he made her do, He even yelled!!! at her to hurry up X_X!. Douchebag of him. Can't wait for the next episodes.
