I loved Hajime No Ippo. But it's at chapter 950+ now and it doesn't look like it's even half way finished. I would drop it, but since I've read so much, it would be a shame.
Baman said: Bleach. Nothing ever happens there except 50-chapter fights or whatnot. But It doesn't cost me anything to grab the scanlations.
It also provides a nice contrast to most of the other series I'm reading.
yeah, same here
Me too. Bleach deserves every bit of hate going for it.
Fairy Tail
I'm kind of caught up, so 2 minutes out of my time isn't really a lot.
Really hate all the fanservice, some of the characters, and the cliches, but I'm curious to see what happens next.
Hate is a pretty strong word
Most of them are long running shounen series with lots of chapters that ended up making a drastic change in some element (art style, plot pacing, character design, introducing a bunch of fanservice); such as Eden no Ori, Bleach, HSDK, Addicted to Curry etc
And the occasional shoujo (Akazukin Chacha with its inane school like plot twist a couple volumes in)

Naruto. I've dropped the series so many times (I count about 7-8 times now), only to pick it up a few years later. Don't get me wrong, I like the series, but it drags on.

nothing wrong with fanservice unless you're gay
Actually there is something wrong with fanservice.
It's annoying and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Tits take up half the page
It was fine when it wasn't every single page but now it's just bullshit.
As you can see, my dropped list is quite long and it would be even longer if i only updated it. If i dislike to read a manga, i don't mind to leave it incomplete.
Bleach was good at first now pretty despicable
Fairy tale
Naruto
Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu and skip beat in the shojo department as wel probs sukitte na yo too.
Bleach. I've invested too much time in to reading it to just drop the series. Also i want to see how it ends. I thought it was good until they introduced the flash step into the series.

bleach- its way to slow and things that should only take a page or two took a whole chapter or more but I've made it this far so i might as well finish it
one piece- the fish man island arc put me to sleep and after 600+ chapters the island to island formula is getting old and its only half way through
fairy tail- its become not so such of a story but things just happening for the sake of happening
Not any manga so far (I've only completed Hikaru no Go, really new to manga), but for animes (I'd probably feel the same way with the manga version), I'd say:
D. Gray-man (honestly, it's not that good. the characters are all so cliche, especially Lenalee)
Bleach (for all the good memories at the beginning of the series)
Naruto (dunno why I keep at it, perhaps for the good episodes? In the hopes that after everything, the war, is over, Naruto will be back to that smiling little kid version of himself that has inspired me to watch anime/read manga?)
And I think thats it. There are ones that I've thought were overrated, but none that I truly hate. Not even these. They're just the really overrated ones for me.

:O One Piece???? I agree that the fishman island arc is slow, but after
Ace's death
, no matter how bad it got, I swore to myself that I'd stick with it forever, for Ace's sake. (and Luffy's too, I guess...) OP got me hooked with the Arlong arc, made me cry so bad. Same with when
they left the Going Merry
. Honestly, OP has been with me my entire anime journey, made me cry and laugh like I'd never done before, changed my perspective on the world, and for those reasons, I will never stop reading it.
You think Bleach is slow? I guess I haven't read the manga, but the anime gives Ichigo wayyyyy to much super powerups that are just ridiculous. After he defeated Aizen like he was nothing, I kinda gave up on it, yet kept on watching, for old time's sake.
Fairy Tail can be like that sometimes, but I see it as a more kid-friendly version of OP. It doesn't have much of a plot, not nearly as much as OP (OMG, the PLOT!!!!), but it still has those moments that make me laugh or cry along with the characters, and those are the reasons I continue on with it, because it has those moments that make it a special series.
Naruto bar none. It has really gotten bad and has been for a very long time, really shortly after Akatsuki was introduced for act 2, where as act 1 of Naruto I still like a lot. Though I put a lot of my time into catching up with this series before I realized it and by the time I did I just told myself I would stick with it till the end no matter if I dislike it now or not and see how it ends.

Probably Eden No Ori(Cage of Eden) it was fine at the beginning but now its mostly fanservice during the 20 page chapters which take about 30 secs to read then you have to wait a month just read another 20 seconds worth of it but at the end of the chapters they always end up leaving you with a cliffhanger which makes me want to know what happens next so I guess I'll be reading it till the end.
Kiss X Sis- I just want to know what will happen to them but the story gives me the creeps.
Fairy Tail- I don't read a manga/ watch if there's no love story and this one doesn't. Well, I love Natsu.
Vampire Knight- Mixed plot. Just have to have daily dose of Zero. =P
Honestly there was so many that I did that too but i'm just going to start dropping them soon
Hana Yori Dango - Read to chapter 115 and just got bored it's repeating a bunch of cliches
Vampire Knight - oh I loved this manga in the first few chapters and then it started making me confused
Naruto and Bleach - Just why am I still reading these
Fairy Tail probably ranks top on my list. I don't even know why I still read it beside chatting with my friends who still read it but we all make so much fun of how stupid Fairy Tail can be and we all read it for the lulz. I still can't help but hate it though cause Fairy Tail often treats itself way too seriously despite making so little sense and the characters are so annoying, especially Natsu I want to punch that bastard every time he gets into a fight. He's one of the few characters in any manga that just thinking about pisses me off. But I still read it so I can make fun of it xD

At first I really liked the manga, I loved the setting and the mystery about the island and all the strange things about it, including the extinct animals. But those characters and that fanservice annoyed me so much that I developed a real love/hate feelings towards Cage of Eden and the chapters would range from awesome to awful depending on what the chapters focused on. But I lost it at chapter 164 where my hate for Akira reached new heights and I put it on-hold and maybe I'll pick it up again but I'm not so hopeful about that.
I wouldn't say hate, but Naruto. It's gotten really bad for me that I think there's no way it'll redeem itself anymore. Only reason I'm sticking around is because I'm morbidly curious to see how it ends.
Also, I just want to see that little bitch Sasuke die already.

Bleach is extremely slow manga-wise (the slowest of the big three) with each chapter making up like 1/4 of an episode. The anime at times catches up with the manga a lot which is the reason why the show has a lot of fillers within it. It was getting very bad during the battle with Ichigo and Aizen in his town, but It got REALLY bad during the Fullbringer arc and they had to end it due to that and bad ratings.
I still read the manga and well aware of how mediocre it is, I've also had MANY times where it makes me wanna drop it into a hot steamy furnace, but over the years I've grew on tite kubo's writing style (and trolling) and make fun of it as a way to enjoy it. Same thing with Naruto, but I've grew up with these animes since they first aired in japan, plus reading the next chapter only takes only about 5 measly minutes of my time.
None. There's a couple of series I keep on my reading list because there's a slight possibility that I might return to the series later down the road, but if I'm really bored or uninterested in a series, then I don't bother continuing to read it. Maybe it's easier to do with shonen since chapters are fairly short for them as I understand it, but for shoujo it's usually a 40 page investment. It would require too much time and attention on my part to bother reading something I no longer have any interest in.
There are some slight exceptions, like if a series were close to an end and I had already read pretty far along. If that's the case, I grin and bear it. Like many others here, I hate to stop reading something that I've already invested a lot of time in.
Don't normally like shoujo, but I had too much time to kill and was too curious. They were quite enjoyable at times, but other times they just make me mad.
