So when I saw the comment "Awwwwwwwww" on the video, it rings true. Jinta baka, he didn't even realize Anjou's feelings for him. |

When Jinta asked her about it she said every time she gets mentioned around Mom and Anjou, they get sad. I think it plays into the thought that she's afraid of showing herself because it makes them all terribly upset. I think over time it's slowly sinking in that she needs to do whatever she can because hiding behind Jintan wasn't working and it was only making them turn on him. As for Jinta. He's just plain scared of being thought of as a nutjob and being put away in a mental ward. The first few episodes he regarded her as a summer hallucination. He was also afraid the gang would shun him like the classmates and old ladies already had. It was Poppo who has been pushing the group together not Jinta. Jinta mental state seems rather frayed by it all. losing Menma and then his mom was like a 1 2 punch. I don't think he was confident enough to try something like a reveal. Also, trying to force Menma to reveal herself would be too risky. Sure he could of said "Here everyone look at Menma move this cup". If it was a hallucination and not a ghost with poltergeist abilities he'd have been screwed. If she didn't do things on command for him he'd also be screwed. She wasn't really in the mental state to ask that from and the gang aren't in the state where they'd give Jinta a second chance. Hell, when he turned his head and mentioned "Menma" in this episode, Yukietsu was about to kill him, Tsuruko and Anjou were scolding him vehemently, Poppo wasn't even stopping it all at that point. Menma did what she did because she had to, not because she wanted to. If she didn't, Jinta and the group would never speak to each other again. |
| We got a confession form Anaru and finally some proof that Menma really exists! This episode couldn't have been any better! =D Now they all know it's true, hopefully they'll all work together to fulfill her wish after all! Can't wait for next week dammit! >_< |

| It sure took a bloody while for them to have proof of Menma's existance. Why was she so cautious of not using her ability to prove her existance? I'm expecting some good excuse here, because shruging it by saying she just never felt like it is just absurd. 3 more episodes to go. I still expect an interesting solution for the Menma's mother issue tho. The introduction of the younger brother sounds like a good future plot twist. The thing is, i can foresse the next episode being about all the SPB exorcising their demons. I just hope it turns out more than that. |

| Fantastic episode with a lot of very well portrayed drama and development. And strange thing is : I can't even predict where the script is going next, which is a pretty awesome feat for any scenario, really. |

| Anyone else felt the horror vibe in this episode besides the tear jerking moments? I did. First, it was Menmom. Her expression looked like she wanted to kill all of them. o_O Also at the end scene. Made me think about the typical horror scene where you see a message on a mirror written in blood. XDD Besides the diary scene would be scary for the people who can't see Menma. Even I would get scared too if that happens to me. Dat curtain flipping without a breeze and dat diary falling out without wind -shivers- I guess that's the reason why I didn't cry at all :/ I'm thinking too much XDD |
| This is amazing, I'm so close to cry. This can maybe even top Clannad AS. 10/10 if I would rate it atm. I hope Naruko ends up with Jinta. She deserves it. |

| While I wanted to punch Jin-tan for making Anaru cry like that, if I were in his position, I'd probably want to deal with my dead girl issues (emotionally and literally) before making any attempt at a romantic relationship. Also, the crying. I don't think I've seen this much crying in a single episode, much less a series. |

| the people who talks about menma didn't do anything till this point should of just dropped this anime in the beginning. about being plot hole and stuff. have anyone ever thought about menma started to appear after some years of her death is a even bigger plot hole. Just like jintan said "why did you appear now. and in a older version of yourself." why didn't menma appear after she just died and instead appear now. it doesn't really matter to me as long as the anime is good. | I was actually glad that Jin-tan did not deny the fact that he loves Menma. I was so happy. Also, I can understand Menma's mom, because it must be really hard for her, but she does have another son and her acting like that doesn't make anything better. Anyways this episode was pure win!! |

| Unlike some people here, I didn't feel like crying, but it wasn't because this has no emotion. It felt happy rather than sad to me, she's shown her friends she's still there and that everything's going to be okay. |

| Wow what a packed episode, definite highlight so far. Hope it only goes up from here :) I hope Yadomi can work out his relations with not only his friends, but with his family and with Menma's family as well. Poor Anjou. And I still don't get why Yukiatsu had that sudden shift after his crossdressing ways were exposed. I always expected him to be his impulsive fellow, and I never saw that part going away until the end. |

| I started crying after the new entry in the diary was shown, what with that song playing in the background... I'm very emotional right now because of a certain thing XD I'm so fucking relieved that Menma FINALLY did something to show the rest of the gang that she is there. When it got to the end, and the credits were rolling while Yukiatsu was about to throw a punch, I was like "Come on! Throw us a bone, here!"...and they did :D |

| Such a sad episode. I can't even decide which character is the most pitiful in this ep. ;_; I'm glad Menma helped to prove that Jin-tan wasn't lying. Although Poppo said he believe Jin-tan, I could tell it's because of his obligation as Jin-tan's friend to trust him, not because he really believe in it. Hopefully they would all believe Jin-tan now. |
| Finally she did something!!! Still a plot hole though. Why did she waited so long? It was kind of annoying because of the contradiction with common reason. Anaru's crying was very emotional. Nice work by the voice actress there. Desperate painful crying right there. Umeko said: Wow. Heavy episode all around. So the reason for Menma's mom stepping in to stop them from making the rocket was because she hates them for being able to continue living their lives happily, leaving Menma out of the fun. Pretty messed up. More like desperation and pain. She just can't tolerate seeing other people go on with their life because her life kind of stopped with Menma's death. She can't get over her death and she hates other people for doing so. Her world stopped and she finds others as insensitive for still going on with their life. She basically just hates the whole world now simply because Menma isn't in it. chinolal said: Well there goes my hope of anaru x jintan couple. Now that I have watched this episode I do not see them becoming more than just friends. Why? I think most people misunderstood Jin-Tan there. Right now he has to finish that and maybe after that he can settle things with Anaru, but as it is right now it can't happen. So there is still a chance that they might end up together close to the finish. I admit it's still hard to happen though because he doesn't seem to share her strong feelings. |
