| I would say LoL, but I'm not exactly going to believe a number simply released by the developers with nothing to really back it up. Of course they're going to want to be the most popular in the eyes of gamers, it's good for obvious reasons. |

Gets updated twice a week or something. If you click in to each game, it'll show a diagram of the activity for that game over the last few months, too. |

| I never got the appeal of LoL. So many people play it and talk about it non-stop yet it just seemed so boring to me. Maybe it was because I sucked, maybe it's because I didn't have a "real team" to play "with", maybe it's because I'm not an RTS fan, maybe it's because I only played a few times and didn't get used to any characters, but it just seemed like wasting an hour running around a map getting killed inbetween times where you boringly attack shit. |
| The most fun aspect of gaming is typically PvP because it actually requires your attention and creativity rather than following a strict guideline to complete a game. The only problem with that is there's usually going to be someone better than you, so it's not that fun for casuals who just want to jump in and be awesome. LoL is basically just the fun of PvP with the simplicity appeal of casual so anyone can feel good about themselves when they play it because it's simple and easy to get good within a small amount of time. If you're typically just a more competitive gamer who enjoys earning your glory, then you're less likely to enjoy LoL unless you're playing with a few friends. As much as it sounds like I'm bashing the game, it's the honest truth. Sure, there are different levels of skill you can achieve, but overall the skillcap of the game comes down to teamwork. You can get to Diamond in soloqueue with as little as 3/4 months of experience, but entering ranked 5v5's is a whole new game. Mindjack said: Far from it.Starcraft is dying dead.... lol |
