| Never really liked Silent Protagonists or Self insert characters in general, this was one of my biggest issues with Half Life and the Persona series, which are otherwise fantastic titles. As far as anime, Brandon Heat was alright. Mainly because he managed, from what I remember, to have some semblance of a personality and his slience was part of his character and didn't necessarily define him. No, wait, the best example is Ichise from Texhnolyze. How could I forget the guy? I only went with main protagonists btw, since I think that's what the OP was looking for? Because of that I didn't mention characters like Ayanami Rei and Yuki Nagato. |
