Last year, in terms of fast food memes, we had:
-Machine 🅱roke/Understandable, have a nice day
-Waifu Wendy + other Wendy's promotional stunts, including one tweet asking for free nuggies becoming the most retweeted tweet of all time
-McDonald's Szechuan Sauce
-Big McThankies from McSpankies
-🅱oneless pizza
-Big Smoke's Order
-"But what if... I were to purchase fast food and disguise it as my own cooking? Ohoho! Delightfully devilish Seymour."
Also, Report of the Week gained a ton of subscribers in 2017, and although he was already an established fast food meme he now became a popular meme.

Although not all of these memes portrayed fast food companies is a positive light (especially McDonald's Szechuan Sauce) it seems to show a movement of the internet consciousness towards fast food. Is this the work of our capitalist overlords, or is it a spike of popularity caused by something else? Was there even a spike of fast food memes at all? And do you think fast food memes will continue to be popular in 2018?

Jeez idk, all I ever noticed was 'Waifu Wendy." And even that was on the dim borders of my consciousness.
I CELEBRATE myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

The whole szechuan sauce thing was blown out of proportion just a bit, but the struggle to get some was very much worth it.

Same here.

I traveled to another area of my country to visit relatives a few months ago, and it was then that I got to go to Wendy's for the first time, as we don't have it where I live.

And damn, it was good. Her meat is so nice and firm.

Normie memes were really annoying last year.

- Cash Me Outside
- that Spongebob meme with the text LiKe ThIs
- Rick and Morty memes
- memes about hating Rick and Morty that became just as unfunny as the original
- Tons of potential memes run into the ground and overused

Hopefully, this year we get some more quality stuff. Steamed Hams was a delightful devilish surprise though in my opinion. Classic Simpsons memes are usually good.

Twitter was a mistake.

We'll probably see more Fast Food memes. It's inevitable.

Lol, a "gay time?" That's certainly an archaic term, isn't it?

Reminds me of the final lyrics of The Flintstones ending theme.

Would saying you had a really "grand" time be more suited for today's modern ever-changing world?

Lol, I suppose.

Things change pretty quickly these days. If it wasn't for Urban Dictionary, I wouldn't know what half of the abbreviations people use meant.
