The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is one of the best Steam games ever made and it's on sale for less than $10.

My rule is never to buy anything for full price on Steam. Just add anything that looks interesting to your wishlist and wait for the prices to be discounted

Highly recommend "Binding of Isaac" and "Don't starve", both have excellent replay value and are pretty cheap.

I would recommend keeping an eye on the Shadowrun games during sales. RPG, story ( lots of text but worth it! ) and turn based strategy if your into those kind of games you'll love Shadowrun.

^ This. This very much.
I've bought pretty much all of my games when they were at least 75% off - all you've gotta do is wait for it to pop up in a sale.

Terraria is super good and can give you many hundreds of hours of fun.
I recently bought Crimzon Clover WORLD IGNITION. It's one of the best on Steam if you're a fan of the genre.

+1 for Binding of Isaac and Don't Starve. Both incredible games if they look even remotely up your alley.
