Anime with a Cat/Cat-like character?

Preferably one that is at least somewhat of a main character, and not just a simple cameo in a few episodes.

And because I'm sure it's going to be mentioned by someone, I'm already aware of Chi's Sweet Home, so don't worry about that one. :P

The help is greatly appreciated!

Omamori Himari (Probably the best fit for you)
Sankarea (Not a troll, but the pet cat in this pops up like every episode and its a good watch)

Dog Days has an entire kingdom of cat people
Asobi ni Iku yo! is about cat-girl aliens
Witch Craft Works has one sort-of main character who is a cat-girl thing
High School DxD Born - one of the MCs was revealed to be a cat-demon thing
No Game No Life had some different types of Furries, I dont remember off-hand if there were cat-people though.

Nichijou, even the the cat makes his first appearance at like episode 10, he has almost as much screen time as the other main characters.

This is actually the one that inspired me to ask the question. I liked Babu a lot! :3


And thanks for the recs so far everyone! I'd especially love more with an actual Cat character, as opposed to cat-people. :3

Lol, thats funny, how about Hayate no Gotoku, it has a Tiger as one of the pets in it, and later on a cat.

+Guin Saga (For the character; I thought the show fell off a cliff in the second half because Guin wasn't as involved.)

Cross Game has a great pet cat named Nomo. They even used him as the subject for a "contest" for younger viewers. That shows how broad the appeal of Cross Game is. My 23-yo daughter and I just rewatched it again as a rite of spring.
