Meh I didn't like the ending. Through out the whole arc, nothing changed between them. It ended how it started both of them are still just friends.

Sure it was sweet that Tachibana would join the tea club, that was the only sentimental part.

I was looking forward to this arc and the result: disappointment

What's this? No romantic ending? I was expecting a kiss and a time skip but instead I get Rihoko tripping and falling on her face. At least her ED song was good.

Copy-paste from Gamefaqs forums:

I watch this series for romance, not for some let's be friends slice-of-life. While Rihoko's arc was fun to watch overall, it's a big letdown to not have any romance in the end. The problem with pursuing a childhood friend romantically is that most of your typical actions will be interpreted as friendship, not love. Rihoko wants Junichi to share her feelings, but she does little to show hers. The things she does are the same things you would expect from a close friend. While giving chocolates on Valentines day is normally a romantic gesture, it is also given as an "obligation" to people close to you. As Miya stated, Junichi already know that Rihoko would be giving him chocolates; she's probably done so for years. In Junichi's mind, it's the same as getting chocolates from his sister or his mom.

Rihoko missed a golden opportunity with the Christmas present. Instead of asking to go to a temple on New Years (something that he would have done anyway), she should asked for a date. At least, that is what I was expecting. She could have phrased it as a normal outing or possibly as a shopping trip to find a present, and in the process drop some hints about looking like a couple. At least start getting the idea in his head. I was hopeful with the ice skating accidental breast grab, but that went nowhere. Maybe a few more of those types of moments would have been enough for Junichi to consider Rihoko.

In the end, Rihoko friend-zones herself. It's a shame really.

Well, said, well said.

Amagami, I am dissapoint. Rihoko was the best girl after Haruka and this is the ending she gets?

Unique ending, indeed. I wonder if that's the same way the PS game ended on her route?

It sure looks like the good ending, although there are some differences.
This arc was nice and I found it very enjoyable, but I was expecting the lovers ending to be animated.

I look forward to Ayatsuji's now

It started great..and ended o.k, but overall I still enjoyed it. It was cute and nice, and just simple I guess. Now for Tsukasa's Arc !!!! I have no explanation, but she's been my favorite from the beginning, and it better not be disappointing. Seriously, I am sooooo looking forward to it.

Haruka Arc: 6/10
Kaoru Arc: 8/10
Sae Arc: 9/10
Ai Arc: 8/10
Rihoko Arc: 7/10
I am a sucker for romance!!!!

I liked Rihoko but this arc really suffered via the relationship not really getting closer. unfortunately as the childhood friend he liked but wasn't that interested in, it would really take more time to develop and get them closer but they didn't have the time. at least a kiss or hint at one would of been nice.

Rihoko was the only girl he didn't really lust after so far and respected. which was nice I guess but it made things drag. I have a hard time seeing him not becoming interested in her at all when he had a similar relationship with Kaoru but it didn't take as much to like her and Rihoko was cuter imo.

oh well I still like Rihoko but this storyline again just felt like a lot was missing. I'd love to play the game but I'm sure it will never get translated.

time for Ayatsuji, the finale or main event hopefully the wait has been worth it. I think he'll become interested in her much faster.

I still feel bad for his friend Umehara, who still gets ignored by the girls. at least in Sae's arc he had his fish. poor guy.

This felt more like the "Tea Club Arc" than the "Rihoko Arc". Too bad, as Rihoko is my second favorite character, right after Sae. I really would have liked to see some romance happening.
6/10 for this arc, and that's only 'cause Rihoko is cute.

Overall, I really liked this arc. It showed Junichi's gentle and caring side, and Rihoko's cuteness. However, I am a little disappointed that they didn't OFFICIALLY get together, as a couple, I mean. I'm not disappointed, though. The ending was okay, but it could've been better.

It's more like shy non daring girls can't be loved because she's the first girl that was afraid to confess her love.

Anyway i guess they did a different ending just to differentiate from the others but the problem is that the whole arc was kind of boring. Well when all a series does is show the development of romance and there is no romance then it's about to get boring since there are little to show.

They did not enough justice for a kiss with Rihoko so I will do it justice! This is how the kiss was supposed to be from the game!

There not if only it would have been animated. In general real nice tear jerker with Manaka and Ruriko hugging Rihoko for a last goodbye since it was their last time as official students at the tea club. Rihoko crying and emotional at that time was a plus in the tear jerking.

Rihoko looking nice in the Kimono and being clusmy was good. OST music when Rihoko was cleaning the tea club with Junichi was rather nice to the ear.

Side things that were a nice add were to me, Morishima with the dogs and Manaka pointing out. Ai/Sae expressions with Junichi and Miya being present. The scenery was top notch. I will keep Rihoko was my #2 choice girl, it was good enough to my taste.

Ok, in the spoiler are all the pics of parts from the game I would have wished to have animated in Rihoko's arc.

THIS. This whole series has really been an absolutely brilliant troll. It as if they wrote each arc to completely baffle/disappoint/annoy the viewers so they purchase the game and end each story line correctly, with as little idiotic dialog and unrealistic situations as possible.

And that my friends is why exactly this arc sucks to many of us... I found it natural and cute and well done, but they didn't have the balls to put up the best ending for the poor Rihoko. I still congratulate them 'cause they actually manage to make all the arcs so different when it comes to endings and the times.

It's such a shame that she didn't even get a kiss... maybe the moment she had the biggest chance to make Junichi her man was when she bit his finger... that could have lead to some sort of ecchi/hot/perverted scene but it didn't. And the start was great and the second episode was great too but when I realised that the things didn't progress that much by the first half of the third then I was pretty sure nothing much regarding happy and romantic ending would happen... and so it did... We just got the Good Ending of the game.

But I gotta admit something. Junishi wasn't as perverted as he usually was in the other arcs and he was much more a man and a supportive guy to his friend. He really cared and looke after Rihoko and that's nice of him but it's a shame he doesn't realise that she has feelings for him... It's like she doesn't exist there for a girlfriend... she just exists there to be his friend.... And this pains me since I've experienced similar stuff :P Maybe not saying anything is a good idea... but you have to give him/her some pointers so they realise you have different feelings for them... but well.. that kind of stuff always happen... Just as someone said, if you do something usually, like giving him/her gifts treating him to a cake or something like that it suddenly turns into a habit and then it's pretty hard to break off from there... there's little possibilities to "save" the relationship from the friendzone area.... Oh wells.. I just hope they dun ruin the next and last proper awaited arc... Tsukasa Aytsuji... the Class rep... Wonder what will happen first :p
