| lawl reverse for me, hate the manga love the anime. Would be just about the majority of every slice of life manga ever. Because it's funnier and cuter when its animated in color. But then again I only read mangas when there is an alternate ending. |

It deviated too much from the manga and they added in a lot of pointless filler. It was just frustrating at times. |

| LOVE HINA I don't hate the anime version just because it gives me beautiful memories, as it was the first anime I watched appart from the typical ones (Dragon Ball, Doraemon...). But if it wasn't the case, I would dislike (not hate) it very much, because the manga is far better and really, really good and funny. |

| I'm glad that Chrono Crusade was mentioned at least once! The manga - Adventurous, witty, emotional and graceful journey through the (very short) life of a girl with little to lose and her compassionate-to-a-fault demon partner. The anime - Panties. |
| Love Hina, Negima... that manga artist just has terrible luck with anime adaptions of his work. I didn't HATE the anime adaption of Soul Eater, I'm a huge fan of both versions- but the manga is noticeably better once the anime hits the "crap we caught up to the manga, let's just make some crap up" point. I'm surprised by the number of people who said Kaichou Wa Maid-sama. I think this might be a case much prefering your first exposure to a franchise, rather than something newer and slightly different- because the anime is quite well done. |

| Samurai Deeper Kyo - The anime in no way resembles the manga. It's pure crap. Black Cat - The way Eve was introduced in the anime ruined the effect in my opinion. Blade of the Immortal - Just didn't like the anime. :) Groove Adventure Rave (Rave Master) - Anime was stupid. Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE - Too many reasons to name. FMA - Didn't follow the storyline. I'm sure I could name a ton more, but this is more than enough. :-) |

| As long as the adaptation stays as faithful as it can to the Manga then I usually like it (and visa versa when the Manga is adapted from an Anime). Spin-offs are obviously ok if they differentiate because... well they're spin-offs. The problem is when something is supposed to be a direct adaptation and it starts changing the story and direction from the source material. For example the Black Butler anime. It's a good anime in it's own right but it completely loses track of the Manga goes off into it's own thing despite the fact that it was supposed to be a direct adaptation. |
